Michell Engineering Record Clamp For Rega Turntables

I bought this to improve playability of a few records with warps, including one LP with a bowl-shaped warp. The clamp is the Rega model which for some reason comes without the felt washer (I used one from a box of CD-Rs). The clamp works very well to make these warps playable. My Rega Planar 3 is quite an old model, about 24 years old, and has a subplatter upgrade.The clamp appears to be made from black acetal (so it doesn't seem to damage the label), with an aluminium securing knob. It is easy to use, is effective, but is a little expensive.

Sure this is a great product when it works but will not fit with standard rp3 platter and wool mat on 2016 model

The Rega spindle is very short and if playing 180gram and 200gram records its a struggle to get it clamp on but normal records its fine.

Works to a degree, but this clamp has no weight to it and manufactured to a pretty poor specification.

Pricey!

Bought for my Rega turntable and it worked a treat! Keeps the record nice and flat against the platter. Michell produce 2 versions of this clamp - one is specifically designed for Rega decks, so check you pick the right model before buying.

Says it fits Rega ?? Doesn't fit my Rega P6 may be I have just got bad one !

Excellently engineered product, unfortunately not suitable for Rega Planar 1 which has a shorter spindle than other Rega decks
