.This is a lovely real wood watch. Despite its size, the wood makes the watch light weight on the wrist and with the unusual texture is quite eye catching.It has a very large face upon which are glow-in-the-dark numerals and hands which make it easy to see in dim light or darkness.Though the glow decreases over time when the watch is in the dark, it should last several hours into the night. It can be "recharged" again by exposing the watch to a bright light source.I was worried the strap would chaff or rub because it is made from wood, but it has been well machined, and the finishing light gloss coat gives the wood a smooth silky feel. There weren't any sharp edges either.Interestingly - the grain (as others have noted with their watches too) is all running lengthwise along the face and the strap of the watch. I wondered why this would be the case, and realised the grain running around the wrist is the strongest direction for the wood to be in.When you first unpack the watch, you'll need to remove a small plastic spacer/locking plug that's between the winder and the watches side. Once you've done this - twisting the winder will move the minute and hour hands to set the time, and pressing the winder in until a tiny "click" is heard/felt will start the watch ticking.There's a stainless steel buckle inside, which is not visible on the outside of the watch. It's strong and unclips by pressing both sides of a clasp to open it out so the watch can be taken off or put on.If you want to change the size of the strap you'll find that the buckle isn't adjustable. This is ok, it means there's no chance of it slipping loose, and it avoids the problem of the wood segments getting bunched-up on smaller wrists.What *is* adjustable are the number of strap segments. They can be added or removed with a small blunt pin type tool, which comes with an extra strap segment. The watch strap is long to begin with, so you're likely to be removing segments than adding any.I opened the watch up to see what's inside.As you might not expect - it uses a standard sized electrical movement.Once I removed the engraved back plate, I found that the watch is not weather sealed around the plate, so you need to keep it dry - a splatter of rain drops is fine, but you don't want to get it properly wet. So it's good for a night out, but not mountain climbing.It is powered by a quality Sony SR626SW mercury free battery, which will last a good long time.Equivalent models are: SR626, as well as AG4 and 377.All together a very nice watch for a night out.

The media could not be loaded.  I had to take a few links out but it wasn’t difficult to do, the instructions are excellent and there are little arrows on the underside of eack link to show you which way the pin needs to go. All the links are the same size so you can go for whatever link looks easiest.I’ve worn this watch all weekend and must have had several positive comments made about it by male and female friends which suggests it certainly has unisex appeal. It’s so lovely to look at that I even painted my nails to match!The face is big on my 6” wrist but I really like the bold look of it, also, it doesn’t slip round till I can no longer see the face like other watches I have. The colour I chose was the Zebra and I love the contrasting grain direction of the face and the strap which is all the more appreciable because of the simple, uncluttered face design with big, clear glow-in-the-dark numerals and hands.When you unpack the watch you need to pop out a little spacer under the winder to push it in and get it going. The stainless steel clasp is ingenious and clicks reassuringly when you do it up, press either side to release... I’ve popped a video clip up to show you.There is a 1year warranty on the watch which is excellent and time keeping has been spot on. All in all I am over the moon with this, it’s so gorgeous!Update June 2018.I have worn this watch almost continuously and can verify that it keeps perfect time. The clasp is as good as ever too. It’s been comfortable and still gets admiring comments. I’m seriously considering buying another in a different colour.

Nice watch, comfortable, very light weight, easy to read, seems accurate, links easy to remove with the right tools, it had very minor scuff marks on the strap, I was tempted to return but they can’t be seen when wearing so kept it.

I have fallen head over heals in love with this wonderful watch. Really! Made mostly of wood, it has a unique character all of its own. It is well made, and the face is easy to read in all situations. It keeps accurate time, which is of course very important to me and my busy life. It always gets complimentary comments from friends and colleagues, to the point of being predictable. The wrist band lock is firm and adjustable, which is important. It arrived nicely packaged to gift standards; the kind of beautiful gift I deserve for myself. Very highly recommended!

Spot on! Well made watch, good quality and amazing natural colour. The package looks nice and proper. Comes in a small box, which includes manual and also tools to remove extra links if needed. It feels light and the strap is very soft, comfy to wear on.Only had it a week so cannot comment on its longevity.
