I love gadgets. I love electronics. But I hate digital sphygs. They are rarely accurate, even the expensive ones and usually require about three goes to get a stable, reliable result. A properly calibrated anaeroid is an absolute necessity in primary care and my old Welch Allyn's rubber bulb was getting so stiff I needed three cans of spinich before each use.I bought this because it was cheap and I liked the picture and have been very pleasantly surprised. Build quality seems fine and it pumps like a dream. As far as I can tell so far it seems consistent in its readings. I have held back one star because as yet I cant speak to its durability but we will see. As a spare sphyg or cheap replacement I would certainly say give it a go. I rarely see the need to spend a fortune onbasicmedical equipment with the exception being stethoscopes.
