Sometimes, when my mom leaves for work she doesn't clean her cast iron pan and it develops a very hard to remove grime.As a child, I didn't know anything about cast iron and would [please don't murder me] soak her pan in the sink.Well, now that I have this for my own pan, this morning I decided to try cleaning my mom's pan with just this and some water, figuring if it didn't work, frankly, she can clean her own pot.It uh, it worked perfectly. The entire pan was clean, with no extra scrubbing needed compared to my own pans that I clean when warm.I'm shocked, and probably going to donate one of these LOOCHes (is that the plural?) to her so that isn't a problem anymore.

These are just what we needed for our cast iron. Our cast iron at this point is pretty much easier to clean than teflon but sometimes a quick wipe of these finishes the job.

I love using my cast iron pan and I literally use it every day. But my husband was asking me to stop using it (no dice) because it was hard for him to clean. These chainmail scrubbers make life so easy. Some hot water and this baby gets everything up. We don't use soap, just a good scrubbing. To clean we spread it out on the top rack of the dishwasher

The original purpose for my purchase was for the intended use on cast iron. Within a week I stopped using steel wool and brillo pads for other applications.These are very well made, beautiful, and can scrape the gunk off of any hard surface with little effort.I feel like I should add a disclaimer to this... Don't be a fool and use it on a non-stick pan or a knife. Also the loops are too large to use for effective chainmail armor, so don't even think about it.

These were a good purchase. I keep one in the house and one in the outside cooking area. I wish they were slightly larger, but they work very well for stubborn stuck-on foods. They will last forever compared to other materials used for these type of pans. I use only for cast iron, they scratch stainless or aluminum cookware.

Had two & gave one to friend. She used it on her old stainless pans that had years of gunk on the bottom. She's now using them again since these scrubbers were able to cut thru the old crusted yuck. Love it for my cast iron pan & either rinse it in hot water or run it thru the dishwasher. I'm pretty sure these will outlast me.

Larger rings than The Ringer, and doesn't scrub quite as well. We had to replace the Ringer because my husband dropped it downthe disposal. This one doesn't compact quite so much, so it's much harder to lose like that! A good product, though.

You can literally clean off all the seasoning of you work at it too much so be careful. Otherwise a great product for cast iron skillet users.
