Not erasers. These are actually just sharpening stones
This is no different than cleaning your knife with sandpaper or a sharpening stone. In fact these are essentially sharpening stones. There’s nothing magic about them, like the magic eraser kitchen cleaners which clearly they are trying to associate themselves with.My guess is they’re made of aluminum oxide which is the common sharpening stone material but they don’t really say. I expected them to feel like sponges or at least a hard rubber but these are stone and their feel and appearance. One of the things this means is that they will last a very long time. The other thing it means is you’re essentially rubbing sandpaper of various grits on your object so be careful. Yes these will get rid of rust just like fine steel wool or fine sandpaper but you can also easily damage whatever you are trying to repair. Luckily this comes with three grits and the finest grit is supposed to not remove any steel. I would definitely test out the eaves on a small inconspicuous area of the object before I went ahead and worked on it.Your mileage may vary but considering how inexpensive these are it’s hard not to give them a good rating. You’re hard-pressed to find three sharpening stones for under $10. And from what I can tell they are a very decent quality. You can hardly get a a few grit of sandpaper for that little money.

Good addition to a rust removal regime. Best for light duty
Got these to help remove rust from a service knife from WWII. These little erasers did help a lot, but they didn't do it alone; I also used vinegar, salt, WD40, steel wool, sandpaper, buffing compound, toothpaste- I threw most everything at it.I haven't used them on some of my other projects yet, but I imagine they'll be pretty great at spot treating my chef knives.Real easy to use and clean up. A lot less of a hassle than other methods. If you just need to get a little rust out, these should be perfect.

Basically a giant eraser that didn't really erase!
I have been searcing high and low for something that would remove rust from the surgical steel flatware. I've tried several liquid polishes and nothing seems to work. I purhchased this product in hopes it would work like a magic eraser for your walls. So when it arrived it was quite small in size, making it difficult to hold and get any really pressure when rubbing the flatware. It got off about 20% of the lighter stains, but did almost nothing for rust stains. As I should have known at my age, you get what you pay for. Back to the drawing board.

Pure Magic
I have no idea how this thing functions, but it is pure magic in my eyes. It performs amazingly on rust spots on knives and even scissors! The rust disappears and only light to medium pressure is needed for the little yellow square to do its magic. Highly recommend for those who accidentally left their knife wet and got rust spots.

It also removes the sheen off the object!
I liked that it immediately took the rust off, but it also removed the sheen off my butcher knife. The knife looks ‘patchy’ now with whitish streaks in the spots where I rubbed to get the rust off. I’m scared to use it again!

Does the trick!
The sponge easily removed rust from my silverware. Easy to use and affordable. Highly recommend.
