Never Marry Your Brother's Best Friend (Never Say Never Book 1)

Fun, crazy & steamy
This was a fun story and I found myself smiling more than anything. Luna was a great character, quirky and weird and totally aware of her flaws and I loved her right from the start. Carter, though? He took some getting to know before I liked him and yeah he was manipulative and focused on all the wrong things but he evolved as the story went on and I warmed up to him. My favorite character has to be Elena, she was so down to earth and fun, I just wanted more of her!The steam level on this book is...wow. It's not my type of steam but it was interesting and these two were definitely compatible in the bedroom! This was an enjoyable read.

3.5 stars
The storyline was alright, but I just did not really like Luna (FMC). Carter (MMC) was not as bad, you kind of knew he’d be arrogant because that’s how these stories go, but the hole he kept digging was a bit ridiculous. Other readers might like it but it was just ok to me. I think I will still try another book by this author because the writing was pretty good so I want to see what she does with other characters.

Captivating
Carter is a huge success, Luna's brothers best friend. She can't tolerate him...She's quirky and uncomfortable around people. He uses her love of art to help him land a client, and now it gets complicated. Passionate, captivating and a great read.

Just okay
Overall ok, I finished it. Plot overall not very believable-- why did they have to be married for him to bring Luna along? And the dog contributed nothing to the story except a few childish jokes. Didn't feel any real connection with the main characters. Anytime they disagreed or had a problem he basically forced himself on her then it was magically ok.

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. Carter is an egotistical Neanderthal with inferiority issues. Zach is a well intentioned best friend and big brother. Luna is an awkward introvert who only becomes animated when discussing art. What starts out as a simple tutoring session morphs into marriage in a matter of weeks. The only problem with the beginning is the unbelievable start. Carter already made Luna his fiancé. Why did he say wife in the beginning?

Good, but not great
It was definitely a good book, but it didn't make the great list.He was too manipulative for the wrong reasons and she got to the point where she just stopped standing up to him.The reason why she didn't like him in the first place, was understandable. But then he and her brother explained what was going on.Elena was probably my favorite character out of the book. I want to be her when I grow up.Overall, the book kept me engaged and I enjoyed the extra bonus scene as well. The scenes were sizzly and the dirty talk was fun. She had such a love for art that her excitement in all of it was fun to watch play out.Elena's niece was a bit too much though. I'm surprised Elena didn't do something about her sooner. But I loved that Elena treated her staff like family. Such a lovely woman. I give her five stars. Lol

Interesting Read
*light spoilers / no specifics from plot*I give this 3.5 really. It was good, but I wanted more. I would possibly recommend this book, and I will definitely continue with the series as I’m interested in where the side characters will go.To elaborate, I felt the story was a bit rushed in my opinion. I think the book should have either been longer or some of the extra character side hustle stuff removed because it didn’t really pack the punch I was hoping. The story also had some outlandish plot points which could have had more time invested in them to make them a touch more believable with the stage the characters were at when they happened. Also some interesting sexual talk that didn’t feel genuine to me. I love smut and this book delivers that, but some of the nicknames and verbs threw me a bit.All in all will be reading more from this series and author, but this book won’t be a multi-read.

Lauren NEVER disappoints!
Even without the brothers best friend scenario, on paper, these two couldn't have been more polar opposite. Yet, they totally work. Luna is unique, and the way Lauren has brought her to life in her pages is brilliantly done. As for Carter, Luna certainly brings the best out in him!

Artfully loving!
When Carter Harrington wants to obtain a new client for his portfolio at the family firm, he needs a crash course in art. Carter's best friend Zach, suggests his sister Luna Start to help Carter learn. When Carter struggles to remember what Luna has attempted to teach him, he drags her along to the meeting introducing her as his wife! When his father calls out the lie, Carter decides to marry Luna for real. Will this fake and fast marriage seal the deal in more ways than one? Will the spanners that keep being thrown, help or hinder? I loved this read for the characters, their chemistry and the added hilarity of children, unruly dogs and a shy, geeky heroine who seems to resemble all of us
