Go MINI Night Challenge Raceway

I bought this in December 2015 for my then 3 year old for Christmas & after playing with it a few times over the year I now feel it's been used enough to review.I'll start with the positive points;It's large enough to play but doesn't take up a huge amount of room compared to my older sons skaletrix.It has two different speed settings so younger kids can get used to how it works first & the car won't fly off the track constantly. It then has a faster, more challenging speed setting that requires a bit more skill.It doesn't require two players. You can race against a pace car.My son loves that it lights up.The negative points;I find it's a nightmare to assemble. Parts of the track don't click together properly & constantly come loose. The barriers around the edge are even more frustrating to put on. If you had space to store the track assembled then you could possibly glue it together but most people are limited with space in the house & would need to deassemble & reassemble.This does not come supplied with a power supply even though it does take one. It eats batteries within 10 minutes so purchasing a power supply is essential if you want happy kids. It took 6 months for the power supply to be come available on the golden bear website. It's priced at £5 but once you factor in the postage it's closer to £10. The fact that the set costs £50 I find this very poor.The cars stop start all the time on the track especially in the low speed mode which the kids find very frustrating. When this happens they loose interest in the set very quickly & I feel very deflated because I've spent a good 30-40 minutes getting frustrated putting it together for it to be abandoned after 10 minutes.Over all I find it's not worth the money I've paid out on it, add the stress of assembly & I'd probably say avoid buying this set. my advise, just buy a skaletrix instead.

Took a while for my husband and father to put together but was worth the effort, barriers around the edge are fiddly. My son loves the fact the lights come on and make the racing more interesting when it goes darker. This is a great first racing track as the cars stay on the track even at the higher speed. You also have the option of sending the cars round with one control by using the pace car setting. Read some of the reviews and was nearly put off buying this but was glad we did.

My son loves it but with in an hour of playing it one of the controller stops working.. so now he can only play one player and not race against his sister.. For something that cost £50 you think it would last longer than an hour..

I don't know if it works yet as it is a Christmas present for my grandon, it looks good, ive bought one each for them so hopefully there will be no issues

Bought this for my sons birthday really not happy as one of the controllers don't work witch has really made me mad.

Great fun, both my sons love it (age 3 and 5) it will run off of batteris or a power supplier, would have given it 5 stars but its a shame it didnt come with a power supplier (had to go buy one for it).

Had to send back twice as the cars kept breaking down and not working. When it was working it is a really good present and my son loved it. Disappointed as it was a present from father christmas. AMazon did send me a replacement but this was the same so sent back again and got money back and went elsewhere.
