It does stain my lips to some extent, though the effect is reduced by the fact that I use a moisturiser first. It is certainly more lasting than most lipsticks, though the longest-lasting are very dry ones - far too dry for my already dry lips. I regard this as a nice compromise - moisurising yet reasonably lasting.
