Roman Centurion Helmet (red plume) re-enactment / larp / role-play / fancy-dress

Let me first provide some general guidance for people struggling with gift ideas: My wife is doing a PhD on roman culture and she loved the helmet -- btw upon seeing the helemt on display at ours a friend got it for himself as well.Now to the details. My wife and I are happy with the helmets, however there are some aspects that could be improved. First of all the version my wife got did not have a possibility of tying a strap on the ear flaps -- but this has since changed in the version the friend ordered. Second, the plume is relatively loosely attached to the helemt. On one side this has the benefit of being able to remove the plume and re-attach it easily for transport. But it does mean that the helmet is more for display rather than wearing.Overall, I do recommend getting this helmet, not least of all as it is good quality -- for display -- at a good price.

The helmet is as described----absolutely brilliant, a perfect Xmas present to add to my collection. The seller was spot on and the delivery time incredible considering the time of year.

Disappointed, the name of the product suggested I would be getting a Centurion helmet (Lower visiblity in the pherifial vision and a horizontal plume), but I got a bloody Optio helmet!
