Originally wrote a great review for this, until it stopped working and then broke. For the first two weeks, it was amazing. Then it became spotty when connected to my phone, only working sometimes. Just yesterday the piece that goes into the phone broke off of the cord and got stuck in my phone (had to use tweezers to pull it out). Don't waste your money.

As you know if you're looking at this, the latest iPhone does not have a headphone jack. This presents some challenges when trying to use audio devices with the iPhone. Specifically, connecting to a car stereo that does not have blueooth audio but has an aux cable is difficult since you have to output from the lightning port to get the physical audio cable. There are accessories out there that accomplish this, but then it blocks your charging port. This accessory cable is the best of both worlds because it allows audio to output to the aux cable that can be plugged into the car stereo, but then also has an additional female lightning port which will accept your charger. With this in place, you can both charge your phone and output stereo audio to the aux cable.

When the charger is plugged up there’s a lot of feedback and sometimes it says it’s not supported by your device.. but when it works I love it!!

Overall is good, just slightly low audio output sound.

Nice, solid construction; adequate length; connects securely; charges... HOWEVER, as soon as it is connected, it drops the volume of the iPhone connected to it. Tried 3 different iPhones (iPhone 6S, 6S+, _and_ 7), but the same thing happens – the volume drops, no matter how you fight to keep pressing the Volume Up (+) button, within seconds, it plummets back down to next to nothing. Massively annoying and likely defective.

This adapter lasted a little over a month. It worked fine and then one day both the aux cable and charging cable did not work. I would return it but the return window closed 4 days ago.

Only worked once. Tried using it the very next day and received a message on my iPhone 7 Plus that the assesory wasn’t compatible with my device, then it never worked again. Very disappointed.

The cable is not made out of thin rubber, like Apple's cables, but it is made out of a strong fabric, which also means that the ends of the cable do not get ruined easily. The charging feature on the cable is great, for when you are playing music on your phone, so you can charge it at the same time. Overall, I would highly recommend this cable due to it strength and the fact that you can charge your phone whilst listening to music.
