I purchased this item because I have a fox that thinks it owns my garden. It is clear, that for my garden (which isn't that big), I will need to buy more than one. The fox had it's regular spot (I could see from where the lawn had been flatten) so, I put it about a foot from that space. The crafty fox moved to another spot and didn't appear to be bothered by the continuous sound that the device makes as it's turned up high. To prove it's point of ownership, the fox has been playing with a ball outside the range so it knows exactly where it can go without setting it off. :(

i wish i had bothered to read the reviews before purchasing, as others state this does NOT charge with solar panel. I have had to recharge 3 times in as many weeks, i did a full charge over the weekend and within 2 ( sunny days) its as dead as a dodo. A GOOD ITEM: WE HAD IT 2MONTHS NOW AND CATS ARE REDUCED TO ABOUT 90%, GARDEN DOES GET SUNLIGHT THROUGH YEAR, HAVE NOT CHARGED IT INSIDE YET. THE STROBE LIGHTS AND NOISE ARE ANNOYING AND THAT WHY IT WORKS. ONLY THING IS PUT PROTECTION OVER SPEAKER LIKE METAL MESH TO STOP DAMAGE OTHER A GOOD PRODUCT.

Buttons require fiddling with to get it working. Not ideal for if you want to turn it off when working in the garden. It's good that I can hear the cat-scaring mode myself, otherwise I wouldn't know when I've managed to slide the button in a working position.

Doesn't always work, expensive for what this is.

I have bought lots of cat scarers and this was the most expensive so I expected good things. However, it is the worst performing cat scarer I have ever bought. the battery life is a day at most, the cats are not scared by it even at maximum levels! What a waste of money!!!! I would never buy this again and have had to replace with better cat scarers. What a waste!

Not having any more trouble with the local tomcats spraying around my property, turn it on to 'Full Repel' it does the trick. :)
