I will be keeping this product because it's what I wanted. But I can't say its 1000 lumens. The remote works but it doesn't change the modes. It works to turn it on and off but it won't allow me to change brightness like it's suppose to.I leave this in auto mode where it lights to 10%. 10% should be 100 lumens but its not that bright.Update 2/17/19Light runs all night at 10% and bright when you walk close to it. I plan to get more, 10% is about 100 lumens I adjusted the direction it was facing and it’s better.Remote is worthless but the light is good with the separate solar panel.3 to 4 stars.3/2/2019Make sure you charge the light 100% before you judge the brightness of this light. Remote sucks the light itself works great. It’s winter and raining a lot in San Jose California still lit at night on days there is no sun.

The marketing and the manual need to be more clear. I thought I was purchasing a security light that would motion activate in any circumstance, including when the fixture is on but the light is not lit. With this fixture the light turns on to 50% at dusk and stays on until dawn. If there is motion detection the light increases to 100% then dims within 30 sec after no motion detection. I can remotely shut the light off ... BUT ... REALLY BIG BUT ... If, after dusk, I switch the light off (and the fixture is on) and motion is then detected, the light WILL NOT turn on.. This is very annoying because I don't always want the light on all night long but I always want the security light to function. Otherwise, the device is OK. I like the construction materials and the weight of the components. A rudimentary remote control feature, lots of batteries and big heat sink are a good start.

The light works perfect and all the way till day light. Mine just stopped working the other day and purchased it 2019 in Jan. The light will turn on when I push the red button in daylight but I lost the remote but overall it is the best motion led solar panel light I came across, now looking for another similar in same price range

Nice bright light. Works as advertised. Like the ability to mount the solar collector away from the light. Would purchase another one.i HAVE TO CHANGE MY REVIEW. i TRIED IT ONE DAY AND THOUGHT IT WOULD WORK OUT. AFTER THREE DAYS I REALIZED HOW LIMITED THE FUNCTIONS ARE. THE DIRECTIONS ARE UNCLEAR. THE LIGHT HAS LIMITED FUNCTION ESPECIALLY THE MOTION SENSING FUNCTION. I AM RETURNING IT TO AMAZON. SOMEONE REALLY SHOULD TEST THIS LIGHT TO SEE IF IT PERFORMS THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO. i DIDN,T LIKE THE FACT THAT THE MOTION SENSOE KEPT THE LIGHT ON FOR LONG PERIODS AND YOU COULDN'T TURN IT OFF WITH THE ON/OFF CONTROL ON THE REMOTE

Lasted longer than any light I have purchased

I ordered 2 of these in 2018 and they are still working. I ordered 2 more in 2019 and when they came I noticed the solar panel was different. But we installed them. after a month they quit working. I went thru the replacement process. There was some confusion in where they sent them. I ended up with 4 replacements, 2 of those replacements have quite working. I wish they were like the first set, because we really like them! UPDATE: All of the new version have now failed!

[insert ANGELS SINGING!]Oh my goodness! My Dad purchased this lamp for my donkey barn as an early Christmas gift, We were trying not to have to run electrical service out to the shed/barn. The donkey's barn is small, 8'x12', just the right size for two friendly donks to cozy-up, and stay out of the weather when needed, but I often drop hay and visit them after nightfall during the winter months, and Dad was concerned for my safety. So after a bit of research, we decided to try this lamp.It has worked like a charm since installation, the first week of December! Gives off more than adequate lighting and it's never failed. I do wish that instead of the soft-rubberized push-button, it had an option for a pull-string since I never use the motion detection on/off feature.Quality is better than we'd hoped for. We will be ordering a second one soon.

This is just what I was looking for. This time of year is tough for me with the lack of daylight hours. Makes it difficult to clean stalls. I’ve been using hand held lights and finally found these and thought I would give it a go. Boy am I happy with the brightness. Still learning the remote but over all I love having light at night!
