I have a Nespresso Pixie and this set is a great addition. The scoop and tamper make it very easy to fill the cups and the tray holds the cups securely while placing the foil lids. These pods are durable and stand up to daily use. This is a much, much, cheaper option than using pre-filled pods and gives me the option to use whatever espresso I want. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and will never go back to pre-filled pods.

These work flawlessly! I used Lavazza Perfetto Medium Roast, already ground in the bag, for my first attempt using my L'OR Barista machine. The coffee was delicious. I cannot wait to experiment with my coffee grinder to use whole bean and other coffee types. The 10 pod set with the tray holder allows you to easily fill the pods and seal them with the foil tops. The holder keeps the pods stable when tamping and setting the foil seals. The pod worked perfectly in the machine! It makes good espresso. However, since these are "expresso" sized pods, I have to use two pods to fill a coffee mug 3/4 high using the large brew button for regular coffee. My only wish is that this same setup would be available in the larger L'OR style pod combining 10 pods with the tray. Currently, only a single large pod can be bought at a higher price than I paid for this product set! I will just "suffer" using two small pods for coffee until these become available as a set in the large pod size.

After reading some of the reviews after placing my order that remarked about compatibility issues even though their machine was listed as compatible I decided to give them a go upon their arrival, although the only preground coffee I had was a can of Chock Full O'Nuts that I had purchased in preparation for testing a few different reusable K-cups. I wasn't really intending to evaluate the quality results so much as whether or not they actually worked to produce the coffee from my Citiz. Not having a real s/s tamper on hand I found the best technique was to place the capsule in the handle turning it into a scoop, then pressing it through the coffee towards the side of the can to fill and 'tamp' the puck, then tamp the coffee a bit more using your fingertip. Wipe off the top surface with your finger and install the foil lid. Be sure to not overtamp and leave a bit of an indentation in the top of the puck to allow the puck to expand, otherwise you will stall your unit or clog the output screen on your machine. I pulled a few 30ml espresso shots and was shocked at the amount of crema created even with using a coffee that was ground too coarsely for espresso. Out of curiosity I tasted it anyway, and found it definitely under-extracted but surprisingly drinkable, not great but better than a number of the lesser known brands of compatible capsules. Now really intrigued, I filled a few more capsules and tamped them a bit more, then pulled them as 90ml lungo shots. Not as much crema as would be created from an espresso grind, but definitely more than I expected from this drip grind. The most shocking aspect of all was that with a drop of creamer and a bit of sugar the coffee was actually quite enjoyable. I've reordered these along with a s/s tamper and silicone pad and am looking forward to giving them a full review using a can of Illy espresso grind for an actual evaluation now that I am confident that they will work with my machine. Edit: The s/s tamper, silicone tamping pad and a can of Illy pre-ground espresso arrived yesterday and I had the opportunity to test them out properly this morning. As expected, they performed admirably. The espresso was smooth and creamy with a full, sweet crema. Resist the temptation to overfill or overtamp your capsules for optimum performance. I f you aren't sure about the grind or amount of coffee you should be using, I highly recommend opening up a few factory capsules that have worked well for you in the past and compare. Keep in mind that the factory capsules are a little bit deeper than the refillable versions and are generally not tamped at all, relying on the initial water infusion to compress the coffee puck.

I have decided to buy these refillable pods as a more environment-friendly and economical solution for my Essenza Mini. I also wanted to be able to use my own selections of coffee. Here are a few things I have come across so far: Preparing the pods: I "dissected" an original Nespresso pod to check the grind level and how firmly packed down it was. The grind was very fine, not quite "Turkish" but only a notch above. On a commercial store grinder, I would say the finer espresso setting is about right. The coffee was actually not packed down at all - the original pod was full, but the grains could still move inside. Based on that, I filled up my stainless-steel pods to the brim WITHOUT TAMPING THE COFFEE DOWN, tapped them gently against the counter to settle down the coffee, swiped the rim of the cup with my finger to remove any strain grains, and glued on the lids. When run through my espresso machine, the pods produce a cup with nice crema, only slightly less strong than the original pods. I am satisfied with the quality and the savings it offers - a very good compromise! A few possible issues and solutions; hopefully helpful to new users: 1. I did find centering the stick-on lids challenging. No solution to that yet; will probably get easier with practice. 2. When I dropped the first pod into my Essenza Mini, the machine's lid wouldn't close, no matter how I finagled the pod inside. It looked like the pod didn't fit, possibly because the pod lid was too large in diameter and didn't slide all the way down. After thinking about it some more I tried running my fingernail firmly against the edge of the pod to lift up any overlapping lid sections, pushing those up (apart from the tab, which I firmly pressed down). This did the trick, although I do have to press the machine lid down with a tad more force to get the pod in position than I would the original Nespresso pods. Same with getting the pod out - it may need some help to drop down to the used pods reservoir. 3. I find the cleanup easy, once I discovered that the way to remove the used lid is to slowly and carefully pull on the provided tab, easing the lid evenly off the edge as I go, trying to keep it in one piece. Once you accidentally tear off a piece of the lid, removing the rest takes about four times as long. Lastly, a big shoutout to the seller: their customer service responded with a speed of lightning, courtesy and some additional helpful tips.

Thees refills are quick and easy to use, and work well with pre-ground coffee so you can drink your favourite blend . The pods work well for me.

These lids are great! Perfect product that fits and works wonderfully for my Nespresso citiz platinum pod machine.
