Product Description Eckhart Tolle teaches that the present moment can t be experienced through the thinking mind. So what s one of the best ways to 'turn it off' and experience presence? Put your body in motion. Now Kim Eng, Eckhart Tolle s teaching partner, shares some of the intuitive movements that have spontaneously arisen during her process of spiritual awakening. Inspired by t ai chi, Yin yoga, and qi gong, these practices open the doorway to what Eckhart Tolle calls 'the joy of being.' Filmed in a natural setting in southern California, this instructional DVD features an introduction by Eckhart Tolle about the value of moving meditation as well as Kim Eng s gentle step-by-step guidance for: The Dragon Awakens, an invigorating yet gentle movement based on t ai chi to wake up your energy; A shaking exercise from the qi gong tradition that helps connect you to the 'inner body'; The Bamboo Tree, a standing exercise that sends energy into the earth to help you feel grounded Eckhart Tolle believes that spiritual awakening requires full embodiment. With Presence Through Movement, you have a practical program to awaken your whole being to the transformational power of the present moment. About the Actor Kim Eng is a counselor and spiritual teacher whose 'Presence Through Movement' workshops focus on the integration of mind, body, and spirit. As Eckhart Tolle s teaching partner, she has helped translate his ideas into a structured practice.

Beautiful production that will energize your body and soul
Very good Qi Flow or you could say Qigong practice. I have tried other DVDs and this is one of the best on the market. I felt energy in my hands on the first practice and it worked great for me. Make sure you practice in a clean room and that you don't eat a meal some hours before. The practice is a little long but you can skip sections or do half. And lastly, if you don't feel anything (like energy in the hands or so) keep on practicing and you will feel it later. I am very sensitive to energy around me and I use this practice in combination with kundalini yoga with Ana Brett, Harmanjot and Anne Novak. I also do a lot of meditation like 1 - 2 hours a day.

Really must be taken at your own pace. We have found practising the first exercise in stages helps to build up to doing it all together A very tranquil practise and helps to calm your mind so you can just be!

ALL MIXED UP
THE PRODUCTION AND PRESENTATION IS GOOD OVERALL BUT MY PERSONAL FEELING IS THAT TRYING TO MIX QIGONG AND YOGA TECHNIQUES IN ONE VIDEO IS NOT A GOOD IDEA - ALTHOUGH THERE ARE OBVIOUS SIMILARITIES IN THESE SYSTEMS THEY INVOLVE DIFFERENT ENERGY MAPS OF THE BODY AND TO TRY TO MIX UP THE CHAKRA SYSTEM WITH THE DAN TIAN SYSTEM IS CONFUSING - ESPECIALLY FOR BEGINNERS, FOR WHOM THIS IS AIMED. MUCH BETTER TO STAY PURE WITHIN EACH SYSTEM. THE QI TRADITIONAL CHINESE CLEANSING TECHNIQUES DEMONSTRATED ARE VERY EFFECTIVE BUT THE YOGA SEEMED IN PLACES QUITE DEMANDING FOR BEGINNERS OF ALL AGES AND FITNESS LEVELS. I ALSO FOUND THE PACE OF EDITING RUSHED IN PLACES, DESPITE MANY REFERENCES TO STILLNESS, NOT ALLOWING ENOUGH TIME TO REST INTO THE STILLNESS BETWEEN MOVEMENTS. WHAT I LIKED BEST ABOUT THE VIDEO WAS THE WORDS CHOSEN TO LEAD THE VIEWER INTO A QIGONG/YOGA STATE OF MIND, THIS EXPRESSION WAS GOOD, CLEAR AND VERY EFFECTIVE.
