A Disappointment After A Good Start
I have tried lots of the best earphones including Sure SE535 and Sennieser IE800, Dunu Titan 1, Dunu DN-2000J and many more but I have found these Dunu Titan 3 to be not quite as good as the Titan 1.They still sound tinny after a long burn in, gone back to Titan 1 for sound sensation. These are going back.

Best sounding earphones I've ever had
At work, I tend to listen to a lot of music. Given that my previous earphones died (Sound Magic e10s - left channel just stopped working) I thought I'd upgrade. I've previously had some lovely Shere earphones, but whilst sounding great, they are not the most comfortable. After doing a bit of research, it was between these and some Sennheiser Momentum ones. Decided on these, as I liked the added flexibility of having the cables over ear if I wanted. So far, they are excellent, with a lovely open sound without bleeding too much. They are not as isolating as some, but they do a decent job, and they must be the most comfortable I've ever owned. I can keep them in all day without really being aware of them.

Had previously been using Sennheiser IE8's which were superb quality and lasted many years. As I use earphones less now decided to replace with these which have good reviews (some saying they'e as good as those costing double). I'm no expert but sound quality immediately seemed less impressive than the Sennheisers but perhaps to be expected at half the price. However after less than 12 months light use they have become faulty today...with muffled sound in both ears. Very poor quality, do yourself a favour and avoid!

Detachable cables useful but result in slightly larger heavier body
Usual DUNU quality and presentation. Detachable cables useful but result in slightly larger heavier body. Still very comfortable and feel quite secure at least when stationary. Sound quality compared to Titan 1 enhances mid range so voices now have more natural body, strong bass. Treble detailed initial slightly shrill on some material but this has smoothed out and is not a problem. Sound taut and powerful, voices and layering of different instruments very clear as is rhythm. Sound stage slightly less spacious than Titan 1. Overall my preferred EDC IEM, not as neutral as Etymotic er4SR or HD800S but differences not sufficient to trade for comfort and convenience in casual use.

DUNU TITAN 3 Quick Review by mark2410
DUNU TITAN 3 Quick Review by mark2410Brief: DUNU’s Middle TripletPrice: £95 or US$135Specifications: Driver: 13 mm Titianium drivers, Frequency Response: 10 Hz- 40KHz, Sound pressure level: 108 +/- 2 dB, Impedance: 32 Ohm, Plug Size: 3.5 gold-plated plug, Cord length: 1.2mAccessories: 1 X case, 1 X 3.5mm to 6.3mm audio adapter, 1 X shirt clip, 6 pairs of silicon tipsBuild Quality: Very nice. The buds are CNC’ed metal, the cable is removable from the beds and thusly replaceable if you kill it. The cable feels alright, very light and flexible and the jack is metal as usual. It’s a rather nice package.Isolation: Well it’s a very open IEM, hence the isolation it offers is very slight. If you want isolation then this isn’t for you.Comfort/Fit: For me great. I mostly wore them up which worked fine by swapping right and left. With that done I was happy to wear all day. Worn down I found their shallow fit made them regularly tugging and being distracting.Aesthetics: They look pretty good I think. Nothing amazing but still quite nice.Sound: Like the other two TITAN’s the detail levels offered are superb, they are also open, spacious, airy and staging is unusually large. Where the TITAN 3 starts to differentiate itself is in its sound signature. These are the middy, slightly richer, slightly creamy one. Its definitely made with the midrange in mind and they are about the best mids I’ve encountered from a dynamic driver. They are fantastic. The nuance, the subtlety, the detail and all with a soft creamy coating. Soft, smooth vocals are mesmerising. They really are just so very good but they have a definite preference. Their flavouring wants to stay in place when you play other sorts of music. Throw on stuff that is made with a more V shaped sound in mind and they just ignore it. Sure the bass it good, cleanly articulate but I could never make it dominate. The vocals always stood up and sang their heart out. Now I rather like that presentation so I’m not really seeing it as a problem but others will. They are a vocal centric IEM and they will consistently put the vocals at the forefront of things. They are when amped and at volume it has a tendency to peak towards the upper vocal ranges and with the wrong voices it errs towards getting shouty. The highs though are really rather well behaved. The detail level is excellent but they are really rather polite. They offer a light shimmer to all but never sparkle with a bright hard edge. Some may find it too polite and too reserved. In short they are superb, crazy detailed for the price but middy and creamy flavoured. Detail junkie’s won’t likely love having to listen out for it rather than have it hurled at them.Value: As a backup IEM, hells yeah, middy luchiousness, so much space and grandeur. But…. the dearth of isolation means they aren’t suitable for the sort of environments that IEM’s are normally wanted for.Pro’s: First rate sound quality. Staging and scale are epic. Sumptuous mids.Con’s: Negligible Isolation. That upper vocal peak.

Would just like to add my thoughts on the Titan 3's
Would just like to add my thoughts on the Titan 3's. First, it was really difficult on deciding on 3's or 5's because my musical taste runs to all genres apart from rap but now after approximately two weeks usage, I believe I made the right choice.I purchased the 3's as a replacement for my Monster Pro Copper Turbines, whose right channel packed up after four and a half years of constant use. Bearing in mind the price differential between them (£220) and (£95), the Titans really do give a good account of themselves. If you mainly listen to bass heavy music then you would probably best go for the 5's but believe me, to my ears, 3's have enough bass based on my listening to the cd 'Thunder' by SMV (Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten).I tried all the eartips supplied and have found the Sony Hybrids to be best, Monster gel supertips are also very good but tend to slip off the stems owing to their composition and made for 5mm nozzle tips. Not sure why they are so comfortable with the 13mm driver housings but they are certainly the most comfortable I have had.One last point,I believe I read that Dunu state that these earphones do not reach their optimal sound until 200 hours usage! Fallacy or not, their sound now has got better since 'out of the box'.
