A nice balance! 4/5!
First impressions are wow! When you first open the box and take them out you kind of worry that they're feeling a bit flimsy, but once you take them out of the box and unravel them you realise that the design and build quality DUNU have went to is absolutely superb, with a half aluminium half plastic structure. The wire is a little bit like reenforced coil wire that feels soft but sturdy. The jack protector is solid and extends two or soinches down the wire so there is no bending at the main connection point. On the buds them selves there is a little slot for the wire to tuck into that can be taken out and adjusted where yet again there is no movement or wiggle on the connection point. Based on first impressions of build quality alone for £35 you feel like you're getting a lot.I think these are probably the first in ear headphone buds that I can wear. I have unequal pressure in my middle ears so headphones with tight sound cancelling buds and pumping pressure from the speakers made it very uncomfortable to listen to and not very enjoyable. I bought a pair of Sennheisers a few years back for £50 and the bass was so deep for me it was inaudible, at £35 these blow them away. With these they seem to have hit a nice middle point in both sound quality and fitting. These are a half in half out design so there is also one speaker hole on the outside that for me allows pressure to escape yet retains dynamic sound from around my ear canal as well as inside, giving a small but noticeable effect. These aren't secret headphones for public places, they're private headphones for secret places, because they do emit intrusive noise. Not for work or exercise perhaps, but for lounging around the house or garden, or bopping away in your bedroom these are a great choice. The bass pressure is quite low but the sound and vibration is loud and clear, as of right now these are the first ear buds that have got the bass right for me. On the flip side the mids and highs can sound a little quiet from time to time (mostly vocals), but it could just need me adjusting to new headphones, and I've only spent half an hour with them, there's a recommended 48 hour burn in time to get the full potential out of them.I've given them 4/5 because first impressions are great and I think once these start to fall apart I'll upgrade to the DUNU Titan 1's which are the premium version of these headphones.

I am not in in music or sound business but play music and enjoy listening to very eclectic styles of songs (classic
I have own a few decent in ears from Shure to Senheiser to the more recent (and truly excellent) Sony MDR 650 and I was very interested by the "half in ear" concept of the Titan 1 so decided to give it a try after my Sony s cable started to fail after a year of everyday heavy use. The Titan 1 Es are a more affordable version than the Titan 1 (£90) but the design and core components are the same as far as I could find out. I am not in in music or sound business but play music and enjoy listening to very eclectic styles of songs (classic, jazz, country, electronic, pop...) and expect a lot from any audio hardware I use. The first hour spent with the Titan was impressive but the bass seemed a lot less tight and generous coming from the Sony ones and the treble and high were too obvious, so I reluctantly turned the bass booster on from the player to give it a second chance and it totally revealed itself for good with a very powerful and yet very delicate and vast stage sound, just incredible. Cable noise is less than on the Sony and at this price it's an absolute steal... The only downside is that there is no remote but frankly for the quality you are getting it's hard to complain.

in one word - Sharp
I'm a sound engineer, so I know when things sound off, and the treble on these buds is so sharp and grating It's painful to listen to without an EQ on your phone. Mids are refined and nice and the bass is very accurate but a little lacking for me. build quality and included accessories are brilliant, but jesus that treble... get yourself some earpods from apple

Dunu User Tip
I am a very happy user of the more expensive Dunu Titan 1.I have improved the sound and especially the bass by also using the InAirs 1 Memory Foam Tips size medium in my case.So I presume that they may improve these 1es.
