Full Disclosure: I received a copy of this book for free in order to give it a review.So, I'm going to assume that everyone knows about The Little Prince since it's a well known story that is in the Public Domain in most countries. Since, the story is so well known, I'm going to forgo addressing the story to focus on this book in terms of language learning.For language learning this book is winner. The text is clear with parallel divisions drawn and alternating colors highlighting the text which easily allow the learner to to work at the sentence level or paragraph level depending on their needs. The font is of a good size, and each of the paragraphs is numbered, again for easy of use. In addition, the audio for each language is freely available on the publisher's site.Now for the one drawback: honestly, the book is expensive. At $20+ for only 101 pages, the book is pushing the limits of what I would consider reasonable. I like the book a lot as a learner, and the quality is quite nice, but I think the price would be have been more fair at $15-18 based on the amount of content you receive.

The Little Prince is a great classic and a favorite of language learners due to its length, moderate vocabulary, and charming illustrations. The translations in this German/English edition are clear and accurate, and the text is laid out in such a way that it's easy to figure out which sentence translates to which thanks to their numbering and alternate sentence highlighting. The audio that accompanies the book (available from their website) is also very well articulated and easy to understand, so it's great for someone with a beginner to intermediate level of language proficiency. The book does not take particularly long to get through and the chapters are fairly short, but this also breaks it into smaller, more easily managed chunks. Overall it is a great tool and an amusing read.

Full disclosure: I have not finished this book, but I am a few chapters in and have a sense of its usefulness. The translations seem fine to me, but as I am still a learner myself, I will focus more on the aspects I can realistically talk about.Some things you can't necessarily tell from the product description: the pages are not waxy coated, so they're easy to write notes on in the margins. Also, all the images (near as I can tell) are present, but in black and white.Not necessarily the most attractive book to look at, but an incredibly helpful tool for learning!

Received this book in the mail today!At first sight, you may think this is a book for younger children. But if you look through all the provided photographs you will see it is intended for older kids or adults.The text is set up in two columns with German on the left and English on the right. The text is highlighted so that you can easily match the two sides and find the translation.I love this book so much and I think it will be a wonderful learning tool!

Great book for beginners. The side-by-side layout and the highlights were quite helpful in guiding me. Although it might not be your main material for learning, it's definitely a useful accompaniment to other materials. After finishing the book, I plan periodically re-read it to gauge my progress.
