It's a toy, not a tool. You get what you pay for.
First, a little about my background. I am in Emergency Services, however, I am NOT a Volunteer FF. I have restored antique fire apparatus, I have worked on a 911 ambulance for almost four years, and I only bought this light as a toy. I wanted something to mess around with out at camp or on the farm, where it's not illegal to run reds. This device is not very bright. It puts out about 165 lumens of light at a distance of one foot. That drops to about 19 lumens out at 10 feet. That's at night. God forbid I test this light in the daytime. To give you an idea of how dim that is, my interior lights in my truck put out about 300 lm at 1 foot. That's twice as bright. You're more likely to be seen if you wave a red flashlight out the window...The 12v plug is a real piece, for lack of better words. The fuse is inside, (a glass tube fuse, probably from 1979ish) and there's a little screw-on plastic cap that is intended to hold the assembly together. I say intended because it...well..doesn't. I pulled the plug out of the 12v socket in the dash, and the spring shot out and across the cab, the fuse fell under the seat, and the cap remained firmly stuck in the socket. I held the now-empty shell of the socket in my hand. After a few choice words, and some fishing with needlenose pliers, I got the cap out of the socket with no damage to my truck. It is now glued together. If the fuse blows, I'll throw the whole light out...Overall, this is a cheap, dim, toy light. If you want to bum around at camp, go for it. If you want to put it on your kid's power wheels, knock yourself out.But do not, PLEASE, do not buy this for emergency traffic. You will kill someone who doesn't see you, maybe even yourself. Bright in the night means jack crap at noon in daylight. It is most definitely not NFPA or SAE approved, the plastic resembles that which can be found inside a dishwasher, and the whole thing rattles. The straps are cheap and plasticky, the button on the plug doesn't turn anything on, and it's honestly not as bright as my old kerosene gas lantern. In summary, don't expect a Feniex fusion or a Whelen Slimlighter when you pay $20 for a flicky-flashy slab of plastic. Three stars because it lights up...kind of. If you want a $20 toy light, click Add to Cart. Otherwise, "these aren't the droids you're looking for." Feniex, Code3, Whelen, or for the wealthy barons among us, FedSig. You get what you pay for.

Great budget light!
Pros:PriceBrightPatternsEasy to turn on and offCons:Cord in viewIf you're looking for a small light to put in your car, this is the one. The light attaches into your sun visor with Velcro. It's easy to install takes 1 minute. The light is actually very bright, when on at night people move right over. All the different patterns garuntees you'll find atleast one that you like. It is easy to turn on and off. Just click button and flip down. My only complaint is the fact that the power cord has to run in the view of passenger if you want to keep it plugged in. It gets annoying. Overall this is a great light for a budget and I would totally buy again.

Overall satisfied!
I gave the product a 3 star rating simply because whoever engineered this product put the WRONG type of power cord on it! The cord is so tightly coiled it's next to impossible to get it to reach the power outlet! Obviously that makes running the cord so it doesn't HANG down out of the question also!! However on the plus side, Product came promptly, light was as advertised. Plenty of choices of light pattern to choose from. Overall satisfied!

Bright light
This is a great light. Multiple flash patterns to choose from. Very bright. Seems to be holding up well. I only gave four stars because of the coiled cord. I try to keep everything hidden inside vehicle but the coiled cord makes this very difficult. took a while to get it all tucked in behind the plastic covers.

Great LED light- Very bright and easy to use
Great LED light- Very bright and easy to use. Drawback is that you have to turn the power on on the unit. I have it plugged in to a cigarette lighter switch and you can't just toggle on and off. With the switch on, I still have to press the power button on the unit which is a nuisance but doable.

The plug sucks
The light itself is decent and bright the plug on the other hand is junk and once you hit a bump it shuts off. If u cut the plug off and put a different one on it works fine

wish it fully worked
this item is ok for the money. However the led light on the plug doesn't work. You can't turn it off by the plug either so to turn on and off you have to reach all the way over if not theres no way of doing so.
