I was happy to open the packing box of the plastic kitchen canisters and see that they looked even better than the picture on Amazon. They were packed well and had a protective sleeve to minimize chafing from shipping.I don't like wet or dry food exposed to oxidation or contamination so these clear plastic canisters with one finger locking lids help me keep cereals, rice, nuts, flour, and sugar clean, dry, and visible. My kitchen stays neat and clean, and I can tell at a glance what I have available, and what goes on my shopping list. I do not like clutter, sacks, and boxes of 1/2 used dry foods visible in my kitchen, so I kept them hidden in cabinets with clothes-pins, rubber bands, or plastic wrap sealing the tops. The plastic canisters I got from HomEquip are wonderful. I can open or close them with one finger, and the lids lock down to seal out moisture. They are in several sizes and look like glass, so I can store anything without worrying about spills or contamination. With see-thru canisters, I never have to guess how much of anything is left in the box or sack, and that saves time when I go shopping.Although they are advertised as intended for dry storage, I often use the smaller ones for left-overs and put them in the fridge. I just have to be careful to wash the lids by hand so that water doesn't get inside the lid seal. The canisters themselves are easy to wash and drain dry.

I ordered these to better organize my cupboard. The 2 medium sized ones hold an entire box of crackers/bag of chips perfectly. One of the taller ones holds pasta, and few of the small ones hold other things such as hot coco powder, sugar etc. I have not used the largest one, but I have read other reviews that say it holds a whole box of cereal, I think it probably would. It is quite tall & just barely fits in the cupboard! These are not truly airtight, when moving the the lid handle up and down it just pulls back and releases a spring, giving you the feeling of an airtight container. But they keep better than a half rolled up bag of chips would, so I am happy. I do feel over time the handles will wear, I already have one the wiggles from side to side, but still does its job. I also received one with a crack, nothing major as it is just cosmetic and still holds food without leaking. I compared a lot of other products, price to value and overall these seem to be a pretty good bang for the buck, depending on what you are looking for.

The food storage containers worked fine but 2 years later the handles are breaking off and that is quite annoying; not sure if they can be repaired or if I'll just have to tossed them out.

These were awesome, however, one of them was dirty on the lid (which you can't use soap/water to clean) and the tall one had a huge crack in it (maybe 6-8 inches long crack). Had to return them and now they are out of stock. Very disappointed.

The containers are sturdy and appear to be airtight. They lock and unlock easily.The only drawback is that the lids cannot be washed. The instructions say to only wipe them with a damp cloth. I don’t know how sanitary this is.

The pen was dried out and HomeEquip was not willing to send a replacement. The containers are light weight but look nice in the pantry. HomEquip advertises that they are dish washer safe; however, you cannot place the tops in the dish washer.

Good selection of sizes but 3/10 came with large cracks in the plastic. Seals well but do not try and pick up by the lid as I found that when full the lids tend to slide off even in the locked position.

I like the containers, however for the money I spent I would have thought the containers would have been made of better quality plastic. Also the white marker did not work at all.
