The yf-s401 plastic water flow sensor consists of valve body, rotor flow and Hall effect sensor. It is usually used at the end to detect the amount of input flow. When liquid flows through the sensor, a magnetic rotor will rotate and the rotation rate varies according to the rate of flow. The Hall effect sensor then broadcasts a signal pulse width. Connect it to a microcontroller and allow you to control multiple devices such as your coffee machine, sprinkler or anything else, manage and control the water flow according to your needs.
