3M Scotchlite Reflective Helmet Stickers/Decals x4 for use in France If you live in the United Kingdom (or any other country for that matter) and intend to visit France on motorised two or three wheels, you must by law enter France with compliant reflective stickers on your helmet. All helmets must have four reflective stickers: one on the front, one at the rear and one on each side. The surface of each sticker must be 18 cm2 and, within each sticker, you must be able to draw a 40 mm diameter circle, OR a 12.50 cm2 rectangle with a minimum of 20 mm length ...these stickers comply with these requirements

Probably unnecessary - possibly essential.
As with many regulations in France, the requirement to add these stickers to your helmet is highly unlikely to be enforced (as with the breath test kits). However, get stopped for a violation and you may be scrutinised to the letter of the law and then - these are necessary.I'd just bought a ludicrously expensive blue Schuberth helmet last year and really didn't want to mess it up with stickers - my jacket was bought as hi-vis to conform with a threatened French law - that was never introduced. One cruel specifcation of this law is that the stickers should NOT be easy to removed - without damaging the helmet.Luckily (?) these are relatively benign in this respect and I was able to remove them once I returned to the UK - hence the need to re-buy this year.My attitude is - unwillingly show willing and conform with the spirit, if not the ultimate letter, of the law. You probably won't be pulled over. If you are it's unlikely this will be the biggest issue under consideration BUT I knew that the uncertainty of the situation would prey on my mind and the solution was simple.Last trip - None of the other UK bikers had these. Didn't notice them on any French rider's helmets either. Maybe I'm a wuss.

Used on a black wheeled waste bin.
Our drive goes straight onto a lane without a footpath. I have put a couple of them on the side of the bin. Being careful that white is being reflected in the appropriate direction. White has to be on the offside of the road.

Good product.
These are required for travel to France. I have a black helmet and the stickers are almost invisible when applied to the helmet however they reflect white when lit up by vehicle lights. Very satisfied.

An effective product
Another product which is hard to get excited about but they fit securely and work so whether or not you need them in France you at least do not encourage the gendarmes to question you. Hopefully everyone else will see you more easily as well.

Fit for purpose
I ordered white but they are silver/grey in colour. As this is not listed as an option I'm guessing these are what they deem as white. They were supplied loose and not packaged as shown. That aside they do seem to work and appear adequate for French compliance, so, overall fit for purpose.

Effective
Not sure how strict the French police would be about the law for helmets to have reflective stickers, but don't want to test it! These are very discrete on my dark grey helmet in daylight, but reflect a bright silver when light is shone on them.
