Depends on your machine
This little gadget works fine. I didn't realize, though, that it's not an overlock type. The biggest advantage is that it will trim your fabric while binding the edge. My Singer Heavy Duty and also my Bernina have the same stitch, so I won't be using it much.

Can’t use on Brother sewing machine. By the time I got my new machine, it was to late to return
Can’t use on New Brother sewing machine. Machine was a gift and I had to wait for it to arrive.

Don’t waste your money, time and patience!!
Returned it. Read the directions 4 times and fiddled with it for an hour and a half. It was supposed to work on my machine and I reinstalled it several times. Was quite the same setup as a walking foot. I really wanted to love this new foot. It was either incorrectly made or just a rip-off.

Does not work
I tried in my viking 425, does not fit. I tried it on my kenmore 358, it fit but does not cut material. I am glad I tried manually versus using presser else it would break my needle. I saw review that work and did not work. Well it does not work. Returning it.
