Nice bell but would have better if could be adjusted
I find that when mounted I cannot get the lever to my prefered position to make ringing the bell easy. I also notice that my hearing loss means it does not seem very loud but good hearers certainly respond.

The bell sounds great and can be operated conveniently with your lefthand
The bell sounds great and can be operated conveniently with your lefthand. The one star is off because it doesn't actually fit well on my Trek 7300 hybrid handlebars. The bell gets attached to your handlebar through two metal brackets, one attached to the bell and the other separate. Both pieces have holes for screws on their ends, using which you attach the pieces together with the bar inbetween.Chances are, your bar will be too wide for the pieces to fit comfortable around, and the screws provided will be too short to cover the cap securely without bending out of shape the metal brackets.

Only fits thin handlebars!
I have a cyclo-cross bike with 31.8cm diameter handlebars before tape and this bell's diameter is only for the smallest - supplier, please state the diameter in the description!Having previously had light weight bells with a flicking pinger - my last one snapped off - I considered this as something more substantial for pedestrians, dogs and small children wandering hither and thither across some of the tarmacked, still used but deserted roads I travel on.I am right handed and used my right thumb on the previous pingers so I can keep my hands on the bar top brake levers, and noticed that the geometry of this bell meant I would have to change to using my forefinger to press the ringer lever (clockwise).Considered sending it back when it arrived and I saw how small the handlebar fixing was but it is a well made, robust, loud bell typical of Dutch town bikes so persevered, bent the fittings and found longer screws.

The King of Bells
This Fishers Steel Crown bell is a real delight. In a world to cheap Chinese tings or over priced hipster artisan nonsense, this little bell hits the sweet spot. Old fashioned and with a playful little twing-a-ling, twing- a-ling, this bell is a pleasure to use. Previous bells I have tried of the single ting variety always made me feel as if I was poking pedestrians in the back of the head with a pointy stick; but this little beauty is like a a tickle with a feather. Loud enough to be heard and get a reaction without making people flinch and scowl at you as you whisk past. To my surprise I have even used it on hooded youths, who when they hear the Arcadian ding-a-ling of my bell, part the ways for me with a gay little skip and side step. It's as if the bell speaks to them from another world, a time of mud stained knees, cucumber sandwiches and lemonade. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.

The perfect bicycle bell
Most importantly students with headphones on still hear and react to the bell! Perfect to get them out of my way cycling to the university.

A clear bell
A proper bike bell...it works but is of a lower quality than I had on my school bike 60 plus years ago.

Ok, unsure if will buy again
Ok bell, good loud ring but not sure how strong it is as I had a fall and it broke.

Just about OK
I wish it were louder, but better than nothing or a little "ting" bell
