Q: Are these good for adult coloring book coloring

Yes, this pencil set is great for the adult coloring books. I have this very set of the 300 Kalour color pencils and use them solely for the coloring books. Kalour are good quality pencils.

Q: Does the kalour professional 300 set contain the same colors as the 50 macaron pastels colors?

I just went through my Macaron 50 pastel Kalour pencils and only a few seemed to be the same colors. Usually the names were a bit different. For all practical purposes, the 50 pastels are differenrent colors. This is true for the 50 metallic pencils as well. There are a few matching metallic pencils, but most are different.

Q: Are these waxed base or oil base

On the Kalor box , it says that they are OIL based

Q: What colors are in the 300 set that is not in the 240 set? Are the additional 60 colors available to buy separate?

As far as I know, Kalour does not sell open stock. I do not own the 240 pencil set so I can't really comment on what is different between the 240 and the 300 pencil set. I like the 300 set and it has pencils that are not included in their pastel and metallic sets. As to the 60 pencil difference between the 240 and the 300 set, I doubt that anyone will take the time to list all of them. I know I don't have that kind of time. If you are trying to decide between the 240 and the 300 to buy, go with the 300. Not that much difference in price and you will have a very good set of pencils. I always go with the biggest set possible from a manufacturer, but that is just me.
