TACTUFFClassic Saddle Bag (Black and Silver)

I was looking for a decent 1 litre quick release bag for my puncture repair kit because I didn't want a large/huge bag under my seat, but, I was having a hard time finding the right one. Then I came across this bag but it looked a bit small; it has a normal capacity of 0.7 litres and 0.9 litres with the bottom expansion zip opened up. I didn't want to have the bottom zip open all the time, because, even though it uses a tough denier nylon, it would eventually rip through normal wear and tear, and one day it would be bye, bye to my precious repair kit! It's okay for occasional use, though.Usually, it's hard to judge on Amazon what you are buying because sellers are too lazy to enter all the information, but TACTUFF excelled here; they gave the bag specification and supplied plenty of pictures. I got all my kit together and calculated that I might just get it all in. Also, having bought a TACTUFF pannier rack in the past I knew the quality would be good, so I took a chance and went for it.The bag arrived quickly and as I thought it's wasn't what you call large, it's compact, but, the question was could I get all of my repair kit into it! My repair kit comprises of: one 29er inner tube, Genuine Innovations Ultraflate Plus trigger controlled CO2 cartridge inflator, Halfords standard puncture repair kit and case, a small multi-tool, one tyre lever, two small bits of old inner tube, a pair of vinyl disposable gloves and a couple of plastic ties. With careful packing I got it all in, no problem, and I didn't have to open the bottom expansion zip - relief! It looked great as well, just what I wanted.The bag is made from a tough piece of plastic bent into a U shape and covered with a tough denier material, which is shower proof. I've not tested it in heavy rain but I suppose you could use a small plastic bag over it, if needs be. If you need to remove the bag it's a doddle; just release the Velcro seat post strap and squeeze the sides of the clip, voilà. Also, if the clip mechanism ever fails hopefully all your kit should still be attached to your bike because of the seat strap. Saying that, I can't see it ever happening because the bag uses a good quality quick release mechanism; the actual clip socket is attached to the bag by four heavy duty rivets and they go though the plastic underneath, so it's very robust. The quick release is similar to the type of plastic buckles you get on rucksack straps, where you squeeze the side clips to pop it open. It's a good well proven design and I've never had one fail on me yet, so there should be no problems with it.Overall, if you're looking for a quick release compact bag then I would have no hesitation in recommending this one. It's well built, uses good quality materials, is very robust and can be removed in seconds. I can't fault it really, I'm very happy with it, it also matches my bike and looks great because it's compact. It's well worth the money, and, also, I've now got piece of mind as I won't get stuck somewhere - miles away from home - with a flat tyre!
