Carved Into Stone

The return to form we have all been waiting for!
This is just what the doctor ordered, a genuine successor to Cleansing. As much as I love Rude Awakening, if this had come out in it's place the bands carrer would have carried on an upward trajectory & they would be far better known than they are right now - let's hope this will redress the balance. As an album it flows perfectly - balancing the elements of thrash, groove, melody & genuine songwriting to create an album that has been stuck in my player on repeat all week (something that has not happened in a long time for me). In a recent interview Tommy said he wanted to try and keep this new found energy going & not wait another 5 years before releasing another album.Keep up the good work Tommy you deserve a lot of respect for pulling a gem like this out of the bag - Metallica take note!!

Heavier than ever! Buy it now and thank me later!
This album kicks off in style with Eternal Heat and keeps up a punishing pace right until the end.Tommy Victor's unique and much copied style is evident all over this record, with Tony Campos and Alexei Rodriguez delivering a harder edge to Prong than ever before. As well as the in-your-face heaviness, this album contains a lot of depth: it'll continue to grow with each listen. The production quality is a notch higher than previous albums, giving a richer listening experience to those of us that still like to blast our music loud through our hi-fi. It was also great to hear a reference to the Cleansing album in the lyrics to Path Of Least Resistance :-)I thought Power Of The Damager was an amazing album. This one is set to surpass it.

Good 'ol Prong is back!
Just received my pre-order of the new Prong-record and it has been spinning circles in my cd-player ever since! I'm really loving it! If you're an oldschool Prong-fan, you will like it. You can clearly hear the familiar Prong-sound, although they once again have added some modern twists to it. Don't worry, only a little bit, just enough I think, to earn a spot between the huge amount of younger (and more populair) bands. Tommy and his palls prove that it is better to not rush a new album, they take their time and deliver good results. Carved into Stone is definitely worth buying, also recommended for newcomers to Prong. It's metal as it should be; no-nonsense, powerfull and fast at the right times!

Stunny album from one of the most underated bands of all time
I'm not going to waste too much time here. I just want to get to the point...Scorpio Rising was a let-down after after all those years of Prong being true trail-blazers in the metal / hardcore / industrial crossover scene. Power of the Damager was a much stronger showing, with a more consistent vibe & better songs, but Carved Into Stone is what we have been waiting for!If you love heavy rock & metal, you should listen to this album. It's catchy, with many killer riffs (Tommy Victor showing exactly why he was brought into Danzig & Ministry), and doesn't let up once.Bring on the next album!

Powerful
Simply put this album is brilliant, amazing production, seriously heavy + powerful songs and a real classic. If you are a person like me who always loved prong but were disappointed with weak and poor production values you'll be very happy with this album!!
