What I love: 1. It goes on smoothly 2. It adjusts between very fine lines for hair to thicker lines. 3. It cleans up completely and saves fine brushes. 4. The reservoir makes it possible to draw several fine lines before needing to dip again. This makes it quick so you can put the cap on in less time, therefore preventing the resist drying out. 5. I have only used this with Pebeo resist. I can't say it works as well using other products, because I haven't tied it with any other brands of resist. I am one happy girl! This reduced tons of frustration!

This is a fantastic tool. I’ve been painting on masking fluid with a rubber brush and it takes awhile to apply and it doesn’t look even-ish. This tool is a game changer; the lines are even and quickly applied. Cut my masking time by 75%. Highly recommended, especially if you’re apprehensive about using masking fluid. Dries quickly, stays in place, easily removed and you can adjust the thickness of the line.

I bought this product for creating fine lines with masking fluid. It works really well, just as I hoped - when fully closed it makes very fine lines, when fully open it makes thicker lines. Both are consistent and smooth. It was easy to use and clean. Just dip it in a tiny container filled with masking fluid or the bottle if the opening is wide enough and go - I didn't even have to wipe off the excess from the outside. The only thing that's a little tricky is that the opening in the tip has to be parallel to the line, so turning corners/making sharp turns accurately can be difficult, but that's just how ruling pens work - I just need to practice.

I have had this for a few years. I use it fairly regularly for applying masking fluid and draw I ng branches and thin grasses in my watercolor paintings. I've used it for quills and hair on a porcupine I painted awhile ago. I did need to clean it before using, but I absolutely love this and think it is a great tool to have . You don't have to sacrifice a paintbrush and it can help you achieve some nice elements.

I use the ruling pen to apply masking fluid (Watercolor and acrylic color) to art paper. Great for straight thin, lines, small patches, and detail masking. Cleans easily.

I love this tool! If you having difficulties using masking fluid this tool will help you immensely, don't hesitate buy it now. It is so easy to use and clean up afterwards! Seems to be made very well and I love the way you can change your line thickness with just a quick twist of a little screw on the side of it. Came in quickly and it is definitely worth the money that I spent!

It does the job for me, but isn’t the best quality. I wish it made a really , really thin line, but the price was right.

Oh wow! That’s what I have to say about this magnificent little tool! So much easier to place masking fluid where it needs to go.. where has this tool been all my life? No learning curve.. just dip and use! Works so much better than a brush, and it’s so easy to clean. Love it!

but I would have liked a set of instructions to go along with it. I think that you should consider adding a set in. Not everyone knows how they work (including me) and learning from youtube videos can get a bit annoying cause sometimes THEY don't know what they are doing, and some of those people don't bother telling you they got no idea till you wasted an hour and broken your new toy.
