Quiggins Chocolate Covered Kendal Mint Cake - 106g

Mint cake, a UK candy, is surprisingly refreshing: you get a punch of mint without it being too sweet.At the present time, the candy is made by two UK candy manufacturers: Quiggin's and Romney's. Both are delicious, but my favorite is the Quiggin's. For me, Quiggin's has the stronger mint flavor, and yet it is slightly less sweet. It also has a slightly crunchy or grainy texture. On the other hand, Romney's is prized for its creamy texture.The candy is available in three varieties that I know about: original (plain), chocolate coated, and brown sugar. For me, the difference in the brown sugar and the regular sugar flavor is lost amongst all the mint: I really can't tell a difference. The chocolate coating makes a nice change, which I sometimes enjoy, but I usually buy the original flavor. After all, it is that burst of pure mint that I love so much. The chocolate gets in the way of that just a little bit.The store from whom I purchased this order provides old-fashioned good business. For that alone I'd give them more than five stars if it were possible. My order got confused: I had ordered the chocolate coated, but received the regular flavor. I emailed the shop owner, who promptly mailed a plain bar to me at no charge. Thank you for that!
