These powders have a visible, softly colored glow when seen in the dark, after being exposed to light. Those qualities indicate they’re *phosphorescent*. Fluorescent things glow brightly under UV light (black light).To clarify—Under black light, fluorescent things appear to glow in very bright, distinct colors and do not fade. Under full spectrum light the glow is not visible and their color may appear muted or white. Fluorescent paint, clothing, makeup etc. are often seen at raves, nightclubs and other nighttime venues that use artificial black lights.Commonly used in dog balls and plastic stars affixed to the ceilings of children’s bedrooms, phosphorescence is often referred to as “glow in the dark”. Phosphorescent glow is short lived and requires exposure to a light source to “charge”. Once charged, it appears as an intense, slightly colored glow in the absence of light. It can also be seen in daylight, but with less intensity.

My daughter uses the colors for slime, and works great! Just wish they were in a better container. The bags spill easy. But great product.
