FISHEYE LENS + MACRO FOR NIKON D40 D40X 18-55MM LENS

I am not a professional photographer. I am not a crazy camera person. I just wanted a fisheye lens for my camera. That was the main goal. I wanted a cheap, easy to use, something that worked and I wanted it to produce cool images. That's all. I googled and googled, and read review after review. I discovered people are way into this and there was just too much technical info and all I wanted to know was 1. does it fit on camera? 2. was it as easy as point n shoot? WELL. This one was. I screwed it on my lens. Not bothering to read the NOT so hand user info that came along with it, and it was SO DAMN SIMPLE. Screw the attachment to the first lens, then screw the fisheye to that part. 1, 2 and you're done. Look through the camera and take a photo. How easy is that? It produced some very cool images, *you can see mine very unprofessional pictures on the reviews. All just point and shoot. I totally love this "toy" and I'm glad I bought it. It also came with a cool lens cleaner. I'm a fisheye shooter for life.

I own a Nikon D40 camera. This lens came in a little box in a leather-like pouch. I was very excited to open it. All you have to do is screw on the little ring they provided and then screw on the lens, which is titanium. It's a little on the heavy side. The photographs are really great. I am a "beginner" and I couldn't have asked for anything better. It's cheap, easy to use, and functions well as a fish eye lens. An update to a review. This arrived several days past the expected delivery time, but product works well. It is not an expensive stand alone lens, but a adapter that screws on to another lens. That's what I expected and for what it is, it works very well. Good way to experiment with fisheye perspective.

The fisheye lens is a wonderful addition for my D40. I used a fisheye lens every chance I got when station in Japan and Okinawa. My kids enjoyed taking pictures of their pets and friends. Of course we only had film cameras at the time. If you want to take some memorable photos, try the lens every occasion you get. I use fisheye and star glare almost every time I take pictures.

My first fisheye lens, so take the review with a grain of salt. However, for the money I spent I feel I received a great value lens. It's not the sharpest but does a great job at macro and getting that fisheye look in photos. As someone learning photography, this was exactly the lens I needed to start learning about macro without having to sink a lot of cash into it.

It was absolutely wonderful. Easy to use and great priced.The pictures turn out great, except the vignette can sometimes turn out a little odd colored.Overall, I love it.

It works but the affect is not as expected. But it works.

This is a nice little fisheye lens just to play around with, but the glass quality is not very good. I would not recommend this for anything other than just starting out.
