Premier LV081168WW Supabrights 480 LED Light, Warm White

After years of using traditional lights outside I finally went LED and they are an excellent choice. The warm white is perfect for what we want and the long lead makes getting around the garden without an extension relatively easy. No bulbs lost after a lot of use over Christmas. I ended up with nearly 2000 lights in our back garden and it looked great. Just be organised when you take them out of the box and untangle them, otherwise you will get in a bit of a mangle.

Once up they worked fine but when I was putting them up I found that one of the wires from the long lead had become detached from the little connection box. I could have returned the lights however I fixed them by bypassing the connection box and reconnecting the wires concerned . the connections in the inline connection box are too flimsy.

Very good value and the lights are warm and not too stark bright

Having bought a set of these a few years ago and they’re still going strong and look lovely I advised a neighbour to get a set when her not so old set failed. She’s as happy as I am, warm white but bright, both trees look amazing and it looks like there’s a lot more on the tree than there actually are. Her tree is 6ft and mine is 7, look great on both.

Noticeable flicker when on static. This is not a fault, and due to the design decisions to cut costs.The LEDs are wired in strings of alternating polarity, therefore the power supply has to switch between positive and negative polarity to light them all (as LEDs will only light if voltage polarity is correct). The benefit to Premier is that they only need to use two copper wires, rather than four. If they switched between polarity at a higher frequency, this wouldn't be an issue.The flicker is visible to the naked eye, especially when you move around the room. Its also really bad on video recorded on my iPhone, as the flicker rate and the shutter speed on the camera exaggerate the flicker recorded.

I bought these for Christmas, and the connection on one lamp failed (which means every light after that doesn't work) even as we were putting them up. More breaks happened later. Annoying, as they're obviously meant for large tree outside, and it's tricky to get them up without a bit ofg stressing. However, I did like the warm white quality, looked pretty outside

These are lovely lights. I can't bear all the bluey-white lights around and these are the perfect, traditional, warm white colour. They are bright for LEDs, as you'd expect from the name, and show up very clearly on the tree in our front garden. Nice, long lead too, so that, for once, our outdoor junction box can be tucked away out of sight. Excellent customer service too from the seller (mine were bought from Starbuy Electrical) - there was a minor hiccup but they were extremely quick to rectify the problem.

The timer is very handy so you can just turn it on when you want them to light and from then on it will light at that same time every day! And very good value for money from this supplier.
