China, but Ive been wearing for years..comfortable, lightweight, reasonable useful life, and many made in extra wide

are these almost as good as Solomon?

Define 'good'! 20 years ago, I went from Hi-Tec to Salomons and was very satisfied with my decision. When Salomon was sold to Adidas, they fell out of my favour. Now, the Hi-Tec are much more performance per dollar.
