I wasn't entirely impressed. The idea it's originally based on is great. I love having something like a mobile device version of the oculus rift for a lower price. The better part of the stars I gave was that it works as what it is, but the reason it lost three stars is because how poorly the idea is presented and crafted. The center piece between the phone and magifying glasses is too short and doesn't stay in place. Because this piece is the structure of the whole headset, the whole thing falls appart. I had to super glue it in place, which worked pretty well but it was unnecessary and inconvienient. Another shortcoming was a cut by the magnet that was placed too far from the other coorosponding cut. I ended up cutting the slit farter so that it would fit together, but this was once again, completely the producer's fault, and inconvienient for anyone who purchases it. Another flaw was how uncomfortable the material chosen is. The edges dig into my forehead and cut into my nose. This also had scratched magnifying glasses ever sense I received them. and the celcro on the center head stap (the original reason I baught this item) that was poorly made and acward as well as uncomfortable to put on. I can also state that the advertisement lied, THIS HAS NO NFC TAG. But to top it all off, there was only the materials in the envelope, there were no directions. Because this model is unique I was unable to find instructions to put this together. I figured it out on my own after a while. I am very disappointed with this seller for poor quality and lieing advertisements. I only recommend buying this model if they lowered the price bellow $10 or if they fix all of these issues I've stated because at the moment, it isn't worth the $16 I payed. 2/5 stars, I don't recommend this at all.Now that I've said how I feel about this I would also like to say that these are a lot of fun to play with. I'm a bit disappointed by my phone too sadly, my Kyocera Hydro Vibe doesn't have a gyroscope ( the piece that allows somthing to notice movement) without which I can't play any VR games with my phone. I recommend downloading a DIVE VR game and loading it up and if it works and it doesn't flash a message saying it doesn't have a Gyroscope, then it means your phone would work fine with a google cardboard, I would have liked this information myself, but I hope this helps someone else. I absolutely recommend to anyone who has a phone with a gyroscope to keep looking at the other google cardboards on amazon and either find a cardboard version or a slightly expensive version that is much better crafted, less stressfull, and much less painfull. Good luck to anyone interested in VR, I hope you find what you're looking for.

If you don’t mind spending a couple minutes fixing it, this can be an awesome headset.
Unfortunately, there are no instructions and you will need a couple minutes to make it perfect, after which it will be far better than the typical Google VR kit made from cardboard. There are tons of instructions on how to assemble Google Cardboard online, it's easy to find, but the only tricky part worth noting is that the flat side of the plano-convex lens needs to face the phone screen, with the curved side facing your eyes. The inside black magnet position was cut .250” too low, causing the outside magnet to rest toward the bottom of the slider slot. With scissors cut off the top section of the inside magnet hole (making what was a circle cutout into a slot that’s unbounded from the top), add a little double sided tape to hold it in place at this higher position and it will then the outside magnet will work great. Also, because the panels are freestanding and not folded they can fall out of place, the center divider is the worst for this. You’ll need just a little glue to lock them in place. These fix take just a couple minutes, so I’m not upset by them. Perhaps my biggest grief is that the polycarbonate lens didn’t have any sort of protective wrap, and so had very light surface wear on the tip of the convex dome from rubbing around in the package. It doesn't appear to noticeably affect anything visually, but logically I know it would be optically better if it was perfectly clear. This can be polished out, but that’s very time consuming, a tiny bit of protective tape during shipment would avoided this. The body material is great, much better than cardboard, it’s plastic paneling with a metallic looking textured exterior and black felt inside. It has suction cups are a great improvement to help hold the phone in place, and nice button snaps to quickly add and remove the head straps. The horizontal straps are not adjustable and are rather large, but that can easily be fixed with a paperclip or paper binder. Finally, there is a burnt smell from the laser cutter, this goes away with time.If you don’t mind spending a couple minutes fixing it, this can be an awesome headset.

Looks great-will need adjustments for some phones
Great quality material (very pretty, actually) and easy to put together once you find out how ( I had to look up a youtube video to understand how it should be put together-the instructions were outright terrible).. Looks great, however, when done. The only two cons: I can't put my phone in it (Note 5) without the door construction pressing side buttons on my phone while in use (VERY frustrating-it interrupts the video and/or cuts my screen off). I plan to use a exacto knife to cut the appropriate slots so that the buttons aren't being pressed while holding/using the Cardboard. Second con is it isn't comfortable to wear....painful on the nose. I plan to make adjustments for that, as well. Overall, I'm glad I purchased it...I just have to delay enjoyment for the adjustments I am going to make.

Needs better instructions.
I ended up cutting off a flap that you are probably supposed to put a magnet in (who knows?) to make it look like the picture. I'll tape that flap back on later if I figure out where it goes. The QR code on the instruction sheet didn't work at all with the Cardboard app and I had to go here: https://www.google.com/get/cardboard/viewerprofilegenerator/to get a more suitable QR code. The goggles are very uncomfortable and the hard plastic will end up cutting your face. I had some self-stick Velcro lying around and stuck some of the soft part to the top and bottom of the nose cut-out.I've included an image of the QR code that worked for my Galaxy S3.
