Since 2010, Airbus A330s have been carrying Hawaiian Airlines passengers across the Pacific in style. Each plane is assembled at the Airbus facility in Toulouse, France, then flown 6,600 miles to Hawaii, often non-stop. This model, bearing registration number N380HA, represents the first A330-200 delivered direct to the airline by Airbus. Upon delivery, each Hawaiian Airlines A330 is auspiciously named for a celestial body of particular importance to ancient Polynesian navigators. This particular aircraft's name is Makali'i, named for a Polynesian constellation consisting of five stars in a curving formation surrounding the western constellation Orion. - This is not a Toy - Not intended for children under 14.
