The media could not be loaded.  Don’t make this your first kit or you’ll give up immediately. ALL of the materials that come with this kit are very cheaply made. The needles bend easily, the scissors are dull and the markers are thin. The yarn is not great to learn with. The eyes you glue on and they are not safety eyes that clip inside the animal. The videos they include have no verbal instructions. You have to stare at a YouTube video until you hopefully understand it. Or you can try and decipher the instruction manual which isn’t great either. I ended up purchasing the name brand beginners kit and liked it so much better. I’m going to make the other two whales now that I have more experience but wish it wasn’t my first kit and I went with the other brand first.

I ordered this kit because I wanted to learn to crochet and I liked the cute whales. When I started, I knew absolutely nothing about how to crochet. The thing I really appreciated was that this kit contained all of the materials I needed to make a whale. There’s nothing more frustrating than buying a kit and finding out that there are essential materials that aren’t included in the kit. The instructions were pretty easy to follow, although there were a few times when I had to figure things out by trial and error. I definitely think this would be a good kit for adult beginners, but I think that children who have an adult knowledgeable about crochet who can give them one-on-one guidance along with the instructions provided in the kit would be most helpful.

Hard to understand the instructions and very little materials for the cost

Junk materials, yarn splits and frays easily. Junk instructions. Junk support video, too fast, can't see where to enter the stitches, no verbal instructions. No support/answers for questions asked on how to read the pattern. The hooks sent in the kit were too small for the size of yarn. The cutters were dull. Stitch markers snagged. The needle bends. I could go on, but, I am done waisting anymore time on this junk product. Save your money.

A smile came to my face upon opening this beautifully designed “Cute Whales” Crochet kit. I was happily amazed to see that everything you need to learn to crochet was included in the kit!  My 10-year-old granddaughter asked me to teach her to crochet, and this kit is the perfect answer to her request. Included in this delightful kit are the following materials, which are enough to make 3 adorable baby whales:*17 - Small skeins of yarn in four pretty pastel colors.*1 - Crochet hook suitable for small hands.*1 – Bag of stuffing to fill whales.*1 – Plastic needle with a large eye for kid use.*1 – Clipper / scissors with a plastic protective safety cover.*5 – Stitch markers that look like colorful plastic safety pins.*6 – Eyes (black plastic) to glue onto completed whales.*1 – Hot Glue stick to glue on whale eyes.*1 – Instruction Manual, highly detailed and easy to use.* Access to Instructional Videos in online description.* Access to Instructional Videos via You Tube and/or QR code.* Copy of teaching videos by contacting Karsspor. The Kit arrived in a timely fashion and was exactly as described online.  It looks fabulous in real life.  I watched the easy-to-follow online videos before choosing the kit. Once I viewed the high quality, close-up instructional videos, I knew that this was the kit that was perfect for my Granddaughter. I will update this review when the first baby whale is complete!Enjoy! Highly Recommended!

For a very long time, I have been curious about crochet. However, I have been stumped about a beginning project, and I didn't want to make a huge investment in supplies, so this little kit seemed like a good entry into the crochet world. It can take me quite a while to learn physical tasks, but the included full-color booklet has clear and detailed photos, and there are QR codes and a printed link to the company's instructional YouTube videos. If you do not have access to a QR code reader, you can search the company name Karsspor on YouTube to see a list of their instructional videos.As to the kit, there is a vacuum-sealed packet of stuffing, a number of mini-skeins of very soft yarn, banded according to colors, a packet of plastic safety pin-looking stitch minders, a sturdy crochet hook, and a sturdy sealed set of snips. There is also a packet of plastic eyes and a hot glue stick. I share concerns with other reviewers about the use of glue-on eyes rather than safety eyes. If the finished whales will be accessible to young children or animals, I would either leave off the eyes or substitute safety eyes.I like that everything is here in one place for the moment I have the quiet time to take on this project. It is visually appealing, and the softness of the yarn is very comforting.

I have never done crochet a day in my life before I got this and within a week I was creating a cute small whale and feeling like I could make anything. All of the pieces are high quality and easy to use while the directions make it simple for anyone to feel like a pro.

The wool is nice on the hook value for money yes quality is very good instruments I would say not for someone just starting crochet
