Cuxwill Magnetic Car Mount Universal Air Vent Phone Holder with 360 Degree Rotating for All Large Smartphones and Mini Tablets (Black)

I needed a magnetic phone mount for my car & I was going to get one of the fixed type that just push into the air vent when I saw this mount & liked the idea of the positive clamp. I found it very easy to install & it really clamps on to the air vent so there's no way it's going to fall off. The adjustable ball & socket clamp solves the problem many mounts have when they tilt down under the weight of the phone - the vents were never meant to support weight like this. With the adjustable ball joint it's simple to tilt the mounting plate to any angle so your phone is just where you want it.I use a case on my phone so I just slipped the rectangular metal plate in between the case & the phone & it holds firmly on the mount. The plate even has a furry side to reduce the chance of marking your phone - a nice touch. My phone doesn't have RF charging so that wasn't an issue.I'm very happy with this mount & I would definately recommend it.

Had to replace my phone holder after I got a Moto G6 Plus. After reading several reviews I bought this. I first tried it inside my phone case (dont like taking phones in and out of cases!). This method coped with speed bumps well but slid off the mount while going round a roundabout, not good, as phone as dangling from charge cable close to brake pedal! Fortunately the phone came with a free bumper case and I stuck the adhesive mount on the back of that. A week later and several hundred miles it has remained in place as if stuck by superglue. It is a neat and unobtrusive mount. Having it mounted on air vent means the phone is cooled rather than cooking in the heat through a windscreen.

Simple design but the item works well. Very easy to use with a lever to move right or left depending on the type of air vents your car has, so making it suitable to be used in several vehicles, if you have more than one car.I have used the item several times and it was easy to install, the magnetic pad held the sat nav in place.I cannot vouch for its long term usage, so only 4 stars.

This is my second purchase of this item for use in both family cars. It has stronger magnets than some of the other versions. This is very useful for use with the bigger smart phones.This phone holder is supplied with a variety of metal plates. One these can be stuck on the to the back of a phone case,... I use a a soft rubber case on my iPhone 8+ and it sticks the phone + case very securely to the magnets in the mount.The mount itself attaches to the car air vent with a simple but secure clamp. This is a much better arrangement than the more comon ‘push on’ slotted rubber block.

I feel bad giving this 3 stars because this product is very good. It's really sturdy, very adjustable and holds the phone well.However there is a serious flaw, especially if you have a wireless charging phone as I do. Basically you need the metal plate on the back of the phone and this interferes with wireless charging. The stick on pad is therefore not an option and even if it was it'd spoil the aesthetics of my Galaxy S6. I have to use the loose felt covered plate inside my phone case but then it has to come in and out of the case whenever I charge at home. Then I forget to put the case on again in a rush to leave etc, so it's just too faffy versus a slot-in type holder.

The best vent mount for phones I have found. Where others slip off this actually grips the vent and happily stays in place on the vents. The larger of the two metal plates fits nicely between the phone and its case with a thin fabric covering on the side against the phone so as not to damage the phone, the only restriction on placement being the position of the NFC aerial if you use your phone for contactless payments; trial and error or a quick web search should guide you. The magnet grips well and I have had no problems with the phone falling off despite driving on rougher roads than most.

A strong magnet and good quality pinch mechanism. Someone wrote it has a serious floor as the required magnet interferes with wireless charging. Well...yes...so you wouldn't buy this product if you need wireless charging. It's part of the spec you buy in to when you chose a magnetic holder.

Possibly the best vent mount I’ve used. The dual option clamp allows the clamp to closes tightly on the vent bar regardless of thickness, tight enough to keep the mount rock steady, without damaging the vent. The ball joint allows you to adjust the angle of the mount perfectly. The magnet holds the phone 100% even on the roughest of UK roads, but makes mounting and removal of the phone a breeze. Cant recommend the Cuxwill Magentic Car Mount enough. You wont be disappointed.
