Hugely surprised!
To be quite honest I wasn't expecting much from this album. The band had released four or five singles from the album, all of them I heard and liked quite a lot which was what my reason for buying the album was. Seeing as they already had those great tracks I just assumed the rest would be filler stuff but I was surprised! Aside from the singles (Learn my lesson, you are not, towers, bones and dearly departed) brother in arms and everything ends are definitely ones to look out for on the CD. The whole album is pretty much one you can leave on shuffle for a couple of hours and not get bored of it. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because of hymn for the lost and interlude, they aren't exactly tracks. Nothing irritates me more than one you get a CD and you think you've got 13 tracks on it when it turns out 2 or 3 are less than 2 mins and is just some arty noise

Powerful follow-up
Everyone seems to like this effort more than their first full length 'All Our Kings Our Dead' but I have to say I can't say I do. I like this one but ' All our ...' still blows me away today. So this one is really, really good and certainly has those brilliant powerful songs with larger than life chorusses that we all love with a wall of sound only YG can seem to produce lately. The drums sound way better on this one and all together it is probably better produced. Though I don't know I seem to miss the magic. I have listened to the album about 20 times now but my favourites are still the 'old' 'Stitches', 'Weight of The World' and 'Crystal Clear' rather than the new 'Dearly Departed', 'Towers (On My Way)' and 'You Are Not' featured on this one. The best song for me is 'Headlights', which does carry the magic. Fascinating song. And yes... why on earth isn't 'A Hymn for All I've Lost' not a proper, full lenght song. It could have been the best track on the album...

A good album
Quite a lot of people haven't heard of this band at its a real shame. Young Guns are a very good band who have put out some really good albums. If you liked All Our Kings are Dead (their previous album) then you will enjoy this. I think this is a step up from their previous album and if they keep putting out albums of this quality it won't be long before more people know this band and they get the recognition they deserve.

I feel it in my bones! One of the best of 2012
This album definitely step up and presented Young Guns's talent as both songwriter and musician at their finest. There are many powerful, strong tracks with catchy choruses on the record such as "Bones", "Learn My Lesson", "Headlights". Even the slower tunes such "You Are Not", "Everything Ends", "Broadfields" are well written and favourable. If you like stadium rock and anthem vibes this album is for you, if you don't, it doesn't matter, you will still love it as well, it's massive.

Best Album of 2012
Bones by Young Guns is by far and away the best Alternative and Rock Album or 2012, every song has variety and style of hard rock fun which keeps you enjoying the album. Gustav, Ben and the others are a bunch of great lads and their next album will probs be even better.
