They are normally incinerated. **Q: Does the bin get delivered in discrete packaging Without any indication that it is relating to needles or a sharps bin** A: No. Packaging clearly states SHARPS BIN. **Q: Does this sharps bin close between uses so contents won’t fall out if knocked over?** A: No it doesn’t close between uses. When you close the lid down, it stays down and can’t be used again. If your bin has no open hole on the right hand side, just a slot to push a pen needle through, much as the other side then I can’t see anything falling out if the bin falls over. **Q: Can it be hung on the wall?** A: I have hung mine on a wall by simply drilling two small holes in the back, and then screwing two screws into the plasterboard and hanging it on these.. The 1L size is perfect for pen injector needles, and it’s compact, making it easy to store. It feels strong and secure, so I’m confident in its durability. The only issue is that there isn’t a clear warning about not closing the lid until it’s full. My wife thought it could be reopened after storing it away, but once it’s locked, it stays locked.
