Beautiful, fuss-free lighting!
I was just giving it a shot when I purchase this product because I really love the romantic feel of the meteor lighting. But this product is amazing!!I used X fasten weatherproof double side tape to fix it on the top of my balcony, ziptie the solar panel to the rail (bottom center of the photo) and it's all ready to go! The solar panel gets full morning and evening sun (about 8 hours here in NY summer). It then powers the light for the entire evening from 8pm until after 3am (that's the latest I've stayed up to and it was still working.) It has light sensor in the solar panel I believe which automatically turns on the light after dark. So I basically don't have to worry about switching on or off.Because some reviewers mentioned it is not very water resistant - rain water gets in the tube. So I take precautions by wrapping all the light tube opening with electric tape - hopefully that will keep the water out. I have not experience rain on this product yet. But hopefully it will hold out. It's so beautiful at night!Highly recommended if you want a beautiful fuss-free lighting.

Gorgeous!
Love these lights - we've had our three sets for a couple of years. Bring them out at the holidays & they work great - lovely effect.

Short wiring
I bought these thinking they could go around the lower limbs of the 5 trees in my front yard. I got them 2 days ago and didn't have time to put them up so I laid them in the yard so they would charge. I got home from work yesterday and checked them..., all good. I unwrapped the wiring and started to hang them and discovered the spacing between each light is only 12". I would have to have a lot of these to be able to decorate the 5 trees I intended to do (minimum of 4 sets per tree to look nice). I wound up doing the 5 small bushes between the circle drive. They work great, come on at dusk (around 7 pm) and were still on this morning when I left for work (6:15 am). They look great, but I expected longer wiring between each light. There are 8 lights per string and I thought I would just go around the bottom of each tree..., wrong..., That's why only 3 stars. Unless you want to spend hundreds to do large trees, forget it. Looks good on small bushes. When I take them down I will spend a little time and splice in longer wiring myself with some 20 awg. and heat shrink connectors. They would be even better if you could plug end-to-end but being solar powered, I guess you can just power so many. I still might get 5 more to keep doing the bushes, cause they do look great. Also a big plus is you can detach the long lead wire and solar panel via an installed coupling, which makes hanging them a lot easier. My sprinkler system (S Florida) sprays them hard, but they are still working. If I don't have any failures before they come down I'll most likely get some more. If they do fail..., well..., you'll see my post [:-)

Pretty different and nice lights...short length of 8 lights/set though W/UPDATE
First, these are pretty cool and are alternative to the more traditional string lights, even the LED ones. The only thing is that with one set you don't get very many to cover much of anything whether it's a tree or in line on a house. And each set is paired to a dedicated solar-charged battery, so if you're using multiples units, you'll need to figure on how to setup up each light strand with its corresponding solar charger, all together. They do provide a long length (>10ft) of cable between the charger and light string.I originally purchased 3 blue and 3 white sets to use on the front of my house, then ordered an additional 2 sets each afterwards. After figuring out how to "test" these before putting them up, I got 4 strings each of the blue and white. installed along the eave on my house. Note; the solar battery has a pushbutton switch on the back that you have to press (to where you hear a distinct "click"). You have to ensure that the units are turned on in order to start the solar charging which will allow the lights to turn on when its dark. When mounting, I was able to put the 4 solar batteries together on front eave of house facing south towards the winter sun and routed the wires accordingly to associated 4 light strings. So after a day of sun here in Arizona (where its pretty much always sunny), these turned on and most sets ran at least 6 hrs at nite(See update below). They are wonderful to watch!!UPDATE 1/5/18 - After having these in use for a month, found two of the blue sets had issues; one set the last 6 lights in string quit working and the other set only lasted for max two hours at nite then die out. The other strings lasted more than 6 hrs.Did get a lot of compliments though and questions where I bought them at

Works great! Just have to switch them on
The media could not be loaded. Got these for our front yard which is too far from the house for plugged in lights. Initially had some trouble getting them to work. Set them up, pushed the button, and got nothing come the nighttime. Wasn't sure if it was an issue with the lights themselves or too little sunlight. Unscrewed the solar stake with a notion of replacing the AA battery and realized I just hadn't been pushing the button far in enough, which makes a very noticeable click when correctly done. There's no obvious indicator to tell when the button is on or off during the day, but I found you can simply put the solar panel face down to cover the light sensor and push the button until the lights turn on.Just bought another pair of these to fill out the front.

Overpriced garbage
Had them for 5 nights in sunny and cloudy weather, they work well every night, nice long wire (15 ft?) to the solar panel so you can stake it in the ground and string the icicles up a tree. They last at least 3 hours. The only downside is they are too close together. Each icicle is separated by about 18-24 inches of wire, not quite enough to distance them out except on a very small tree. You'll need to buy multiple sets for larger trees to give them a more natural look. And you can't string them together, wire to wire, for obvious reasons (power).Update 2 weeks later: After the first significant rain event, the lights no longer work. Looks like the rain leaked through, as the tubes have some fog inside. I had them hanging on a tree. This is another piece of Chinese garbage. So sad.
