Wife by Agreement (Presents S.) Paperback – 8 Jan. 1999

Though a bland cover and publishing date 2011 this book was written almost 10 years earlier. The title and therefore the story also seem non-descript, but don't be fooled, its one of her best books.In the first chapter Hannah, ex-nanny now wife by agreement to look after the kids, tip-toes into her home her clothes torn, skin exposed. She gets caught by Ethan, her husband in name only. Hannah had jumped out of a moving car trying to get away from a colleague who was attempting to try it on. It seems everyone knows they aren't "really" husband and wife.For a year Hannah and Ethan's lives had hardly merged in their convenient marriage. Its from the opening's narrow assault escape that Ethan notices his wife for the first time. In addition Hannah no longer wants the label of reserved virgin nanny, attempting to stand up for herself and be a wife. The repartee between them and the use of language is a delight as well as rare in this day of modern romance.I don't like reading complete story reviews - you need to read the book and enjoy even though there is not a single Spanish Count or Italian Billionaire! Refreshing, shame other recent books are not of same standard.

This was an o.k read. Hannah and Ethan. Ethan was married before and his wife had died. Along comes Hannah to be the live in nanny. They get married but the arrangement stays the same until one night when she comes in a mess, torn clothes, mud everywhere! She had jumped out of a moving car as one of her french class friends had tried it on with her. This is where it all starts. Ethan starts noticing her and they finally fall in love. I don't think this one was amazing like some of Kim's others.

The previous reviewer goes in more detail so I see no need to repeat. I could not put this book down. It had all the ingredients of a good chocolate marble cake...lol A alpha male who is arrogant and thinks he has all the answers and knows best. A heroine who fights back even though she is desperately in love with him and he is completely unaware. The book made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes and sex which which was not too graphic. For me the story line had all the elements of an excellent read. Will certainly be reading more of her books.

Can the hero learn to trust again? He married her for convenience but can her love for him overcome the distance between them? Fun read.

This was an enjoyable and easy read book especially to take on vacation. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a book with just a few characters .
