Excellent except for the tuner
Overall excellent unit. Plenty of input/output options and the combination of a pre-amp and decent DI makes for a great and extremely portable taxi rig assuming you have PA support and adequate monitoring. Also in the worst case scenario of an amp failure it provides a very workable backup with a great sound on its own. No significant colouring of the sound when the effects are off.Regarding the actual effects the compressor is outstanding, easily a match for most dedicated pedals and although it lacks the control of a full featured rack mount it gives 90% of the sound at a fraction of the weight and bulk. Likewise the EQ and drive both sound great and give tremendous flexibility to the sound. The pre-shape switch is brilliant for slap bass but unlikely to be useful in any other situation. The only negatives are that the bass enhance doesn't track brilliantly, particularly at the low end even if the rig can actually reproduce the sub bass notes and the tuner is hit and miss at best. Possibly usable on a four string instrument but not on anything with an extended range. It just gives up on the high C on my 6 string bass. It does however feature a dry output that remains active even when the tuner/mute switch is hit so my old Boss TU-3 can still do its job without sitting in the main signal path.

Perfekter Preamp
Ich habe wirklich so ziemlich alle Preamps und Modeller für Bass ausprobiert. Da ich einen Kemper spiele bin ich logischerweise enorm verwöhnt, was Sound, Soundvielfallt und Signalqualität betrifft. Ich wollte den Kemper für kleine Gigs ersetzen, deswegen war ich lange auf der Suche nach einem kleinen und leichten Replacement. Das Trace Elliot Transit B hat mich extrem überrascht.Positiv :+ kein Rauschen! enorm gute Signalkette+ Compressor seperat für Bass und Höhen einstellbar+ super leicht und klein (Gigbag ist sogar dabei)+ Verschieden Pre Shape oder Bass Boost Schalter+ Schalter für aktive/passive Bässe+ EQ mit 2 verschiedenen Mitten (Klasse!)+ DI Pre ond Post EQ out als XLR+ Und zu guter letzt der Sound! Sehr sehr guter Klang für meinen Geschmack.Negativ :- Drive/Distortion ist aus meiner Sicht nicht zu benutzen, da es absolut billig klingt. Aber das brauche ich sowieso nicht- Kein Noise Gate (aber das kann man über das Mischpult dann machenIch habe einen Ersatz für den Kemper gefunden was kleinere Gigs betrifft.
