Okay, but needs some help
These diapers are nicely made, but limited. They may work fine for dogs that mark a bit, or sprinkle lightly from sheer delight or enthusiasm. But if your dog is having full-blown accidents, they're probably not going to do the job by themselves. They're just not thick enough or absorbent enough to handle a medium-large dog's normal volume of urine when he empties his bladder.A few years back our then-50lb dog was experiencing frequent urinary tract infections. We took our vet's advice and had a bladder stone removed. He stopped having such frequent UTIs, but he went from 6-9 hours of bladder control to around 4-5.Unfortunately, that isn't too compatible with a normal work day. We cleaned up a lot. Now that he's even older and has declining kidney function, he drinks more water and urinates even more often, and in truly epic volumes. So the situation's gotten kind of dire.I had high hopes for Tinkle Belts and ordered two in XL. They seemed a bit on the large side, but the velcro allowed an adequate fit (and they do shrink with repeated washings). We quickly found that his urine volume was far more than the diaper could hold. We still got major puddles.I added stick-on disposable men's underwear guards. That helped, but he still fountained past the pad and belt most of the time. Adding a second pad and belt in front of the first helped a lot, so I ordered 2 more, this time in size L. I used the L belts on his waist, and the XL belts in front of them.Even with two belts, he still leaked fairly often (though in smaller quantities, thank goodness). We finally got a fully leakproof solution by adding a *third* Tinkle belt yet further forward (this time without the underwear guard). This helps keep the whole array in place. So I'm here to order yet another 2.Keeping count? Yep, that's a total of SIX of these guys, and we only have two changes. Yes, even with two disposable pads, they still pick up some dampness at times. Therefore we need a second set so one can be in the wash and on on the dog.For this kind of situation, while Tinkle Pads are probably cheaper than the doggie diaper throw-aways at the pet store, they're not quite as cost-effective as I'd hoped. But they are working - in sets of 3.If I had it to do over, I might make him a homemade peebelt. I'd make it out of stretchy fabric, the width of 3 of these. I'd also put at least 4 inches of velcro on it, not just 2, for more adjustability. And as much as I'd like to avoid the waste of disposables, I wouldn't worry about making the belt itself absorbent. I'm sorry, but modern disposable diapers are a wonder of absorbency that cloth just can't match. Finally, a few notes on Tinkle Belt maintenance. Wash these only with dark clothes, if not totally by themselves. The blue denim bleeds profusely for several washings. They shrink a bit, so if they seem loose at first, don't panic. The velcro is vorpal stuff! When you wash them, fasten the velcro, or they'll grab on to anything and everything else in the washer and dryer.

for dogs that mark.
I have tried 3 other styles of dog wraps/diapers but I consistently find fault with them. I think this brand is my preferred to date as they don't bind against the dog's belly or their penises. Some of the others I have tried have rubbed sore spots or left pressure sores. So far these haven't caused a problem. I was a little confused by the shape and which way to put them on at first, but I figured it out. Wish they bowed out in both directions instead of one for better coverage. Love the velcro fastener on this too!

It doesn't work with some body shapes
The product is a good product but my dog is shaped narrower in the hips and larger in the chest. The belt would not stay up and kept sliding backwards. I don't know that this would be a problem with other dogs... mine needed suspenders to hold it on lol ... i just couldn't use the product.

Very good product
Generally I buy my dog, Reggie the medium size belt. It is made well and works well. He has put on a little weight lately though so I decided to jump to the next size up because his waist has gotten a bit bigger and the belt Velcro was only covering half of its opposite piece (hopefully that makes since)and I was thinking the potty flap area would be a little bigger. Well the next size up REALLY changes. The whole piece is bigger. Ideally it would be great if there was a size in between these two sizes. Its kind of like the medium size is a bit too small now and the large is too big. I am still using the medium belt on him because it still works. I have to make the big belt a little shorter by adding on a bit more Velcro to it so it will stayed secured though and I just use this one on him at night. This is a good product though no matter what the size. It washes up well. Barely shrinks at all in the dryer. Is very light weight, easy on and easy off. There is no elastic so it doesn't pull hair and leaves no marks. You do have to make sure you get your waist size correct though or it may turn on the dog. Not common though. My dog wrestles around very rough with two other dogs and more times than not always stays securely in place. As long as I continue to have small to medium size dogs in my house I will always use and continue to recommend this product. (I have never tried this on a big dog though so I cant rate its quality reguarding that)

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!
The Tinkle Belt is wonderful, and does just what it says it will do. At this writing, my standard poodle is 13 1/2. For the past year, he's decided it was his job to mark a certain spot in the bathroom, and the corner of hubby's favorite recliner. Oh, yes; and the Christmas tree. Great. I've tried sprays to neutralize the odor, to mask the odor. I've laid towels, I've rubbed the paint off the wall in the BR to try and keep it clean. I had resorted to piddle pads strategically placed, but those seemed to present more of a challenging target than a solution. In desperation, I searched for doggie diapers, and stumbled upon the Tinkle Belts. I ordered the size large, and in a day or two, the package was in my mailbox. The belts are a nice denim, lined with flannel, and a velcro closure on top. The velcro and its location make it super easy to remove as the dog is on his way outside, and easy to put back on when he comes back inside. I line the belt with a pad. You can choose the absorbency of the pad you might need. None, very light or full blown men's incontinence guards. It's been a week now, and he doesn't seen to even notice the belt is on, but I do. The freedom from worry about what was going to get peed on next is wonderful. It's such a relief, and such an easy fix.
