New 2PCS HOOK HEAVY DUTY COIL STRUT SPRING COMPRESSOR CLAMP KIT SET

Compressing springs is a safety-critical job, so the many positive reviews were crucial in convincing me to try these low-cost tools. I've just used them to change the dampers on a large 4x4 and, although it was very hard work, they did the job admirably. The hooks did not match the curvature of the springs (could a selection of ends be included?) but they hung on well. One other minor thing prevented me giving 5 stars: there were split washers under the nuts and these just burst open under pressure. They should really be plane washers, but the tools work well without them. Hopefully, I'll only need to use them every other year, so I did not want to invest in an expensive alternative.

Decent bit of kit at a good price. All you will need for DIY work on your car. I had to close the angle of the spring clamps to make them a bit tighter to fit onto the car springs but they are capable of clamping much bigger springs as standard.

Though I'm sure they would've done the job perfectly, I just didn't trust them for £6.99. The hook didn't go onto the spring enough for my liking & I binned these & bought some hilka brand ones for £15 that done the job perfectly. The hilka ones hooked on a lot further & the metal was a lot more heavy duty than these ones.

I was lucky bought 2 sets, otherwise I could not have get the job done. bad disign, it does not compress enough to change the coil.NEED DESIGN CHANGE BEFORE MARKETING.

For the price, this is the best what you can get. Ordered 2 pairs just to use 3rd hook on spring in case of slip. Hooks not sitting on spring perfectly, but it depends on you car i guess. Changed coil spring mounts on my Almera and it did the job saving me some money. Recommend everyone
