After falling twice. I am taking NO more chances. I have beautiful hardwood floors (bamboo) and the step edges are polished like wet ice, on the split level house I bought 2.5 years ago. I fallen down the bare steps because the edges are a hazzard. Bought these carpet pads because of the bullnose carpeted design. Will fit even if your step'sleading edge is flush. One of mine was. The adhesive should last many-many years. Unless you are using these outdoors or keep the temp inside your house at 85 degrees plus, year round and live in a super high indoor humid environment. Makes going up and down steps more comfy and cuts down of foot traffic noise when going up and down as well as protect the steps wood finish from foot traffic.

Perfect solution for wood stairs in a house with two older dogs. I purchased the gray and it's a nice light gray/silver color. They go on easily and can be removed. They look like they cost more than they do! The carpet isn't super plush but gets the job done. I recommend this product. Shipping was quick and only takes a few minutes to install. Great product for the price. Side note: the customer service at BareGoods is unbelievable! I ordered a different set and was able to exchange without issues.
