The story focuses on young Jim Hawkins (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who comes into possession of a map to Captain Flint’s Treasure Planet. He sets out to find the treasure in order to prove to his mother (Laurie Metcalf) that he’s not a juvenile delinquent and to rebuild her boarding house. Joining him is Dr. Delbert Doppler (David Hyde Pierce), an astronomer. They charter the RLS Legacy, captained by Amelia (Emma Thompson) and seen to by her first mate, Mr. Arrow (Roscoe Lee Browne). Hawkins meets John Silver (Brian Murray), a cyborg, and his companion Morph (Dane Davis). Later, the encounter the abandoned robot B.E.N.
