Flcl Complete Collection [Blu-ray]

I imagine that if you're here it's because you've see the show and liked it enough to buy it. So instead of talking about the show I'll talk about the case and extras.The show comes on a single disc in a regular size Blu-ray case with nice imagery. Can't ask for much else.The Extras is where is things get interesting. It comes when commentaries for all six episodes from the Japanese Director and cast. It's quite interesting to get a greater insight into the mind behind this show. It also comes with six* music videos from "The Pillows" which is the band that supplied almost all the music for the show.And finally it comes with a load of Outtakes (Bloopers) which is always nice to see in Anime because it's always brilliantly funny.*When I say six music videos I actually mean five music videos but when of them was done twice. Once live and once in an animated format.

a classic anime from japan. isn't hurt that much by the age of terrible english dubbing, the series itself is just "one of those" you'd be recommended if you decide your into this stuff, and this is the best quality you'd get from something that hasn't been "remastered" since the 90's/early 00's so all the video is in 4:3. it does lose points though for not having alot of content on the disc. the series is 6 episodes and there's not much extras

A high school boy meets a strange girl on a vespa with a guitar and there is also a robot. It is over the top and quite random at times but enjoyable. It is quite difficult to categorise and like cowboy bebop goes across multiple genres; these seem to include the quick cuts of MTV, action films, cartoons and South Park. The soundtrack is present throughout similar to the heavy metal film but very much in the anime tradition and with music closer to pop/punk with tunes reminiscent of weezer, pixies, rem, foo fighters ramones, white stripes but also quite varied pop.

This is not a review of the show, but the product. It delivered on everything it promised.

Great anime

Good image quality and a decent amount of extras for that price: you just can't go wrong.As for FLCL, it's one of the most important anime of the decade.For more info see here:Great Bluray!
