Not sure if we missed it but I ... - Looks really nice. Not sure if we missed it but I don't think it says in the product description that this is actually metal. We ordered it half-expecting it to be plastic and having to return it but it is metal (copper) and looks really well made. It's hanging next to our front door and the pattern of light and shadows on the wall and door is quite beautiful. The LED could be a bit warmer in tone but it is ok. The automatic on/off and the solar charger work well. ADDITION Having used this for a little more than a month now, I'd still say it is really nice but the solar charger obviously needs a lot of sunlight. Ours is at the front door and it's a bit shady there and of course it's winter now, so not much sun light. With that, the light is only on for something like 20 minutes now when it gets dark.I would still buy this again. It just needs a different light. Review: Very pretty, doesn’t stay alight as long - Can’t speak to longevity, but lights beautifully and gives off more than I thought it would, creating patterns. Three thoughts though: 1. Didn’t realise it was going to be a cool blue light ( the other lantern is from a different co), which is fine but just be aware. 2. If you want to hang it from a tree or a shepherd’s crook, the bulb is not very pretty to look at, so I have it at ground level. 3.instructions don’t tell you how to access the on off switch on the underside of the solar panel inside the soldered lantern and appears completely inaccessible. I wrote to the company because I didn’t want to damage it and they were very responsive replying straight away that you simply remove the solar panel from the top ( which isn’t obvious and isn’t in the instructions!) Edit: having had it for a couple of weeks now, I’d add that it doesn’t last as long as the one next to it. Weird as the panels are the same size and they both get the same amt of sunlight. ## Features - Handmade. - Metal. - Filigree patterns. - Minimum operating time of 6+ hours when fully charged. - Made of powder coated steel to ensure its is weather resistant. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01B1QLCRQ | | Batteries are Included | No | | Battery Description | solar | | Battery Life | 6 Hours | | Best Sellers Rank | 23,477 in Lighting ( See Top 100 in Lighting ) 532 in Lanterns | | Brand Name | sgpuk | | Bulb Base | E12 | | Colour | Multi-colour | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars (260) | | Finish | Powder Coated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05050642006880 | | Included Components | Solar light | | Item Type Name | Smart Garden Damasque Lantern Silhouette Solar Light | | Item Weight | 600 Grams | | Manufacturer | Smart Garden | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Model Number | 1080910 | | Mounting Type | Floor Mount | | Number of Batteries | 1 AA batteries required. | | Power and Plug Description | Solar Powered | | Shade Material | Metal | | Type of Bulb | Light Emitting Diode (LED) | | Voltage | 9 Volts | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | Wattage | 5 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** sgpuk - **Colour:** Multi-colour - **Light source type:** Light Emitting Diode (LED) - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Power source:** Solar Powered ## Images ![Smart Garden Damasque Lantern Silhouette Solar Light - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/718QBadEYuL.jpg) ![Smart Garden Damasque Lantern Silhouette Solar Light - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71xH0j1Cu2L.jpg) ![Smart Garden Damasque Lantern Silhouette Solar Light - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ms2yw-UNL.jpg) ![Smart Garden Damasque Lantern Silhouette Solar Light - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ZiMXnDDnL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is it possible to purchase a replacement solar panel for this lantern? The lantern itself is still looking lovely but no longer lights up :-(** A: I bought 2 a couple of years ago and the solar is now coming to an end. It would be good if I could by a replacement panel without buying the whole lamp. **Q: Could anyone tell me how I switch the solar panel to on position please. The top of the lantern is scewed on, so does it need unscrewing to do this.** A: The solar part, which is the black plastic part, just lifts out of the metal top. It is a snug fit so I gently turn mine and it comes out. Underneath is a white on/off switch. I had no instructions with mine and I went back to the shop! The filigree glow in the dark is still wonderful after over a year! **Q: How do I get to the switch underneath as it seems to be fixed solid?** A: Just remove (pull) the top section off, in which the solar panel sits, to access the switch. First time may be helpful to use a small flat-headed screwdriver to lever it off gently. This is the complete section under which the switch is situated. **Q: warm white or cool? seems to be conflicting answers** A: The light is a white light, but it is very pretty with the patterning. We love ours. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks really nice. Not sure if we missed it but I ... *by T***O on 13 October 2016* Looks really nice. Tried to get supplier to replace solar panel, as I do love the lantern, so far it looks like I'll have to return full item, unfortunately I don't have the box., so its gonna cost , anybody been successful with replacement panels.....please --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/49937140-smart-garden-damasque-lantern-silhouette-solar-light](https://www.desertcart.be/products/49937140-smart-garden-damasque-lantern-silhouette-solar-light) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
