Should do the job
I have used a variety of tubes for travelling with my panama hat over the years, they have ranged from malt whiskey packaging to a 'cheap' panama specific tube. All have meant after a 12-20 hour trip the hat has had to be reshaped with the help of a kettle. This is bigger so I am optimistic that this will do the job.

Don't store it in this tube long term
This is great for travelling - but don't be tempted to leave your hat in the tube for storage as it will remain curled!
