I suffer from horrible chronic pain and as a result insomnia and chronic fatigue, so a weighted blanket has been on my wish list for a long time. I have always liked a certain weight to my blankets which in the past i achieved by piling multiple blankets on myself even in the heat of summer. I just had to have the weight to sleep. At just over 110lbs, I ordered the 12 pound blanket, but to be honest I could have probably gone heavier but that is just me. Some people have asked if you feel like you have a hard time moving under them and I don't at all. The weight is evenly distributed, so while it makes you feel more secure than a typical blanket, it also doesn't have a heavy feeling to it when it is all spread out. Even my 10 pound dog burrow under it to sleep, so obviously the pressure can't be that great. However, it is like sleeping in an extra secure hug and my quality of sleep has increased dramatically. Despite being weighted, the chenille blanket is actually quite thin and very cool. I can't give this 5 stars though, because of the size of the blanket. I am only 4'11" which is much shorter than the average consumer of these blankets and yet when I gather the blanket up under my chin, it leaves my feet uncovered. I would prefer that my blanket be bigger than the size of a throw. If they aren't adding weight per pocket, then I don't see how enlarging the blanket slightly would place that much additional pressure on your body. I would have even bought a slightly higher weight (now I wish thaat I had anyway) in order to get a larger size, but there were not size differences in the immediate weights above. This is a wonderful product, but I would say that if you are looking for more than a weighted throw, you would probably do best with trying out another company.

Product just as described. Very soft. Excellent quality. We ended up returning the product because my wife thought the 16 lbs. was too heavy for her. She really liked the feel and quality though. I would recommend making sure you are comfortable with the weight before purchasing. It cost $38 to mail the blanket back. Excellent customer service and no questions asked when we returned the blanket.

The blanket was delivered earlier than expected. I was amazed at the weight. (Heavier than expected, but I have never used a weighted blanket before) The blanket is so soft. I love it. It is very comfortable and not too warm surprisingly. I will use this one and buy another one that's 5lbs lighter for my teenager. I would recommend this blanket

I love it! This blanket is so soft and looks like a normal throw blanket. Incredibly high quality. I bought mine for my anxiety, which occasionally makes it hard for me to sleep or gives me nightmares, and sleeping under this blanket helps tremendously. Follow the sizing chart. I'm 5'3" and around 140 lbs and bought the 42×72, 16 lb blanket.

This would be the perfect blanket if the material was thicker and there was some cotton or something in there so you don’t feel the hard glass beads.

After reading about the Magic blanket and seeing the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I have a job that can be pretty stressful and I have problems sleeping along with anxiety. It is truly amazing. It helped me to sleep longer and better which in turn has helped me to handle the stresses of the day. I wake in the morning feeling relaxed and rested. My husband borrowed it one night to try it out and he absolutely loved it. I am now purchasing another blanket because I am tired of sharing it and the blanket ending up on his side every night. It took me a couple days to get used to the weight so I am going to order a slightly lighter blanket for myself. Once you use this blanket you will never want to sleep without it.

Doesn't shed as I was fearing. Color is very close to picture, maybe a little lighter. My son is really liking this. I bought it for problems he has with insomnia. He always looks forward to snuggling with it.

We purchased this blanket for our 5 year old son who has a hard time settling down during the day and falling asleep at bedtime. He loves the blanket and has been carrying it around the house! He’s been using it when he watches a video on the couch, has asked for it while home sick from school, and has slept with it every night since we got it. It seems to have a calming effect on him, and has an added bonus of being difficult to carry around, therefore slowing him down and forcing him to walk rather than run through the house! We got the navy blue, chenille blanket in 8lbs. It is just the right size for him (5yrs, 50 lbs), the color is nice and the material is very soft, with no visible seams or places where he might break open the materials (if there was a way, he’d have found it by now). And the beads within are well distributed and even. Overall, I’d recommend this blanket for anyone who likes the feel of a heavier weight over them while sleeping or for kids or adults who may need extra help calming down for sleep or relaxation.-E.R.
