DSP knock-off, FM works, AM not so much, there are plenty of DSP radios, try looking elsewhere.
I bought one as a trial run for about $3.60 from an overseas seller, not worth returning, (I'm going to donate it as I have no use for it) but save your money and move on to something better, like the DEGEN DE333, granted it doesn't run on AA batteries, but at least both bands work. the, (INDIN brand radio) I received the FM seemed to work, so I took it apart because the AM band sounded like a crystal radio where only the strongest signal would appear across the dial, meanwhile other stations could be heard trying but failing to appear. inside are 2 IC chips, one is obviously the audio amp, the other appears to be a Chinese version of "DSP" which is why the FM band sounds choppy because of the sound of "AFC" like breaks before each station selection, which makes it hard to tell if you're on a station or not. The model I paid about $4 for is BC-R60 INDIN, different model but similar in appearance and features, maybe they corrected the AM non-selectivity problem, but since these are similar models by the same brand, I sort of doubt it has been fixed in any way imaginable.Overall, this is a poor knock-off of a DSP radio, 2 IC chips, maybe half a dozen Caps, no IF coils and a vast majority of coupling components are the grain of pepper sized on the side of the circuit that they mounted the 2 IC chips to.

I also have the R60 (same with no power indicator) and get similar poor performance. One AM station unless you're not near a strong one. The FM is more selective but even strong signals have hissy "S" sounds like a good radio not quite tuned in. Mine is definitely not DSP on either band and there's no muting between stations. It does receive radio stations and would be better than nothing in an emergency, but unless you get it for $5 or less, and just can't come up with $10-20 to spend on something better, it's pretty bad.
